Hi Cathy, I noticed you have left flowers for Joseph and Sarah, thought you would like to know I have uploaded a photo of their headstone if you are interested.

Thank you for all your work in Find A Grave! I'll let the Find A Grave administrator for JD's daughter know and she can link them.
|Joe George||William Rubin Neal|
William Rubin Neal in Neal Bones Cemetery, Whitney, Hill County,Texas should be William Rufus Neal.
|Carter||# 7449092-Richard Call|
I visited Peoria, TX Cemetery last week and searched for the grave of Richard and Katie Call, but could not locate it. It has been a while since you posted the memorial for them, but do you by chance recall where they are located in the cemetery?

|Ron Spurr||William Hannon, Dresden Cemetery|
Because the deceased died recently (2014) he is not listed in the cemetery index with the other Hannon's buried there. Also, there is no gravestone for him, possibly due to this being relatively recent. I located where the gravesite would be, in the Hannon Family plot, and can post the HANNON family stone that is on the site with other members of the Hannon family, in response to your request for photo, explaining the status at this time. There is no evidence of the gravesite location to be found at the moment. In the past year I have visited Dresden Cemetery more than a dozen times and spent a total of at least 15 hours searching for a number of gravesites. It is a 2 hour round trip for me.
Please let me know what you would prefer me to do.
|Charlsie Futrelle||James Wilburn Burnett|
Cathy, thank you so much for all you do. I have been working on James Wilburn Burnett. It has been frustrating because his father died 2 years before he did and there are other James Wilburn Burnetts who live in Texas. The one who is father of James Fred, Henry O, & Dorothy Leona Burnett was not married to Lucille Larue Dodson. He was married to Alma Thetus McNeely. Lucille's James Wilburn was 38 years old when one of their sons was born in 1925. Alma's James was 47 in 1925. Alma or Thetus is on all every census record with James until 1940. On the 1930 census record with Lucille, she is listed as a widow. James did not die until 1935. He was also born in Whitney, Hill, Texas.
Have a great day.

Hi Cathy--Well, you've had a long wait for these photos! Your request was in long before I had even heard of Find A Grave. I also took photos and added pages for David Earl and Dorothy Clark
#169949637. I have a photo of all four markers together, but did not post it since I don't know if they are related. If you would like that additional photo added to the memorial pages, let me know. Peggy (Texas)

You are receiving this note because you are a FindAGrave Contributor with ties to the Files Valley Cemetery
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=3585 near Itasca, TX. By ties, I mean that you created memorials, maintain memorials, added photos and/or notes to memorials in that cemetery. After reading below, if you do not wish to remain on this list, please reply to email@example.com, asking to be removed and it will be done immediately. Currently there are 84 Contributors on the list.
I was raised in the small community 5 mi. east of Itasca called Files Valley. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=mr&MRid=47129367&
I attended elementary school there through 1952 and my parents ran the grocery store. There are still folks living there but the main thing still there is the Files Valley Cemetery.
Recently, two events occurred that that have a significant impact on the future of the cemetery.
1) The loss of Kenneth Stufflebeme, the long time Trustee of the Trust fund set up before 1992 by my Dad (Robert McEver), Aunt (Annie Mae McEver McMillan), Joe Price and others.
2) The bridge across the creek to the cemetery was washed away during recent flooding of the Files Valley Creek. There is currently no access to the cemetery for visiting or mowing, etc.
I wish to express my deepest sympathies to Kenneth’s wife Edwina along with sons Mike & Jim. The loss of Kenneth’s role with the cemetery, while significant, is nothing compared to the family’s loss.
Living in Houston makes it difficult for me to evaluate what options exist for dealing with these issues. I do know that there are some actions already underway to address problems. I have the name of another Trustee but I have been unable to locate contact info. I also understand that another Files Valley resident, Mark Wood, is working on getting a bridge across the creek in another location that would provide access to the cemetery. The Hill County Commissioner for that precinct has confirmed that, because the cemetery and access road is on private property, the County will not provide any funds for reestablishing access. The Files Valley Cemetery Trust Fund along with other private parties with interest in preserving the cemetery may have to provide funding. Any payment out of the Trust Fund will jeopardize the ability to continue maintenance, mowing, etc.
If you or anyone you know has information that would help us in sorting out these issues, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 713-252-7222.
As my profile indicates, I, along with others on this list, have a detailed knowledge of this cemetery. Out of the 426 memorials currently noted, there are 24 memorials with no markers. I am very confident that all of the markers there have been photographed meaning that there are 24 unmarked graves or some memorials have been placed in the wrong cemetery. If you maintain a memorial without a tombstone icon, especially if the memorial has been added in the last few years, please check your source info to confirm that you have the correct cemetery.
Finally, I have a plot map created from Google image. It cannot be posted on the FindAGrave site because of copyright issues but it does have useful detail. I will provide it for your personal use if you provide me with your email address.
Thank you for reading this lengthy note. There is much going on.

This information is wonderful because I have sort of been at a dead-end with this. Robert and Sarah Jane also had a little boy who died early. What do you know about the son who lived? Didn't he go to Texas? Do you have any photos of any of them? I am taking it that the Shelley family used to live in Pickens and Gilmer County. My e-mail address is email@example.com. Thanks so much.
