I decided to sign up to photograph headstones after a very nice man in Bisbee, Arizona volunteered his time to find information about my great-grandmother and photograph her grave for me. Unfortunately, she did not have a headstone, but that information was still very important to me. She had died rather young in childbirth, orphaned my grandfather, and much of the family information had been lost.|
When I do go out to photograph, my husband comes along to help out. It's a lot of fun for us to find these burial stones and learn a little bit about the people's lives they represent. Sometimes I'll photograph other aspects of the headstones and surrounding area. Contact me if you'd like those pictures as well.
I'm a strong believer in making the lives of our ancestors count, and carrying them with us into the future.
Good luck in your searches.

Linda, I have found and linked all of the siblings for uncle Riley and aunt Tempa. If you find any errors, please let me know so that I may correct them. I have also been working on the links for aunt Rebecca York Brown. I have found most of them but two remain evasive- John and Glenna- I will continue the search. Most of uncle James Yorks children have also been linked. Thanks for all your help and for sharing photos. Cousin Leo.

|Susan Bark||Thank you!|
Dear L Rez,
Thank you so much for photographing my paternal great grandmother's, Matilda Bloom's, headstone. I really appreciate you taking the time to do this! As Matilda has been gone for nearly one hundred years, the headstone is very worn. Can you advise me what the headstone says? I can make out her name and that is about it. Please do not worry if you cannnot.
Thanks so very much!

Thank you so much for taking the time to photograph this grave! James is from a branch of the family that had moved west from Kentucky in the 1880s and I was thrilled to have found him on Find a Grave! Penny
