In 2006 I googled my mother's name and found her on Find a Grave--this was a joyful day for me. Of course, I had to find everyone else! It took awhile after joining (initially to place 'flowers' on their memorials) before really understanding enough to make memorials myself. This I began in 2011, starting with my darling husband. Was involved as a bereavement facilitator for my church (right after Ken's death) - am very aware of the needs of the grieving to tribute their loved ones. Find a Grave is a wonderful place to do just that. Am also quite experienced in the pain which insensitive/unthinking people can inflict. (Am presently not actively facilitating--although I still find myself helping with grief issues any where I happen to be.) |
My direct family lines are through Fonnesbeck, Duval, Gerbet, and Bissegger families.
My husband's direct family lines are Pitcher, Jorgensen, Plowman, and Barrett.
And many, many more before!
However, I am fascinated by all.
Have found several loved ones and friends through findagrave and am thoroughly hooked on helping to make all of our searches more satisfying, productive, educational and just plain fun!

I added his obituary to his memorial. I want all my memorials to find their family, so if you are his family, please let me know if you would like it transferred to you! Thanks!

Thank you for connecting Uncle Ray with the rest of his family. Since they never had children and since my Dad was the baby brother, they kind of adopted all of my siblings as theirs and they came for Thanksgiving and Christmas and Sunday dinners frequently. Great memories! That's completely fine if you keep Uncle Ray, you had him first . Thanks again for all of your work on these memorials, you do a fine job. I'm just starting to submit info.

I was so excited to see the picture of Uncle Ray and Aunt Greta that you put up on their memorials! Uncle Ray is one of my father's older brothers. I too remember their awesome house with ALL of the beautiful flowers and shrubs. The back yard was wonderful. I also remember the spinning wheel and I remember all of the curios that they bought while they traveled and the strange smells (to me as a child) of the sandlewood and other carved woods. We lived south of Blackfoot and visited when we could. They were both Teachers and I loved them both.
Will you please add Uncle Ray's father #42036793 (Ed) and mother #42036809 (Fanny). If you wouldn't mind, I would very much appreciate it if you would consider transfering Uncle Ray #13921531 over to me. If not I understand. I have a lot of info on him that could be added.
Thank you for your great work,
Kathy McBride Parson #47496298
