Keep hearing a voice that says,

"Grieve Not For Me"

Remember the best times, the laughter the songs,
The good life I lived where I was strong.

Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you
Keep smiling and surely the sun will
shine through

My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest,
Remembering all now, I was truly blessed.

Continue traditions, no matter how small
Go on with your life, don't stare at the wall.

I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin
Until the day comes, when we're together again.

John Carey, Detective
Hi Barb- thank you for your suggestion. I went to find out more because I did not understand why Detective Carey of the New York city police ended up buried in Southold. I found an article in a local paper which, although it is full of contradictions, talks of his backgrond and family in Southold, and I put the text in the entry for John Carey, who was indeed a brave man.
I appreciate your letting me know about him.
Good luck with your sleuthing.

Photo for Michael Murphy
Thank you for the photo of plots for Michael Murphy. I was there many years ago but never took a picture. Would it be possible for you to also post picture to the following individuals who are also buried there: Rose Murphy (5364523), James Murphy (5364524), Mary Murphy (5364525), John Murphy (92448550), Catherine Murphy (92448707). Thanks again.

Joseph DiPerri.
Barb,

Thank you so much for going so quickly to take the photos of my DiPerri relatives.

Yes, Agata was a DiPerri too. She was Joseph's first wife before her death in 1921.

Joseph remarried to a lady named Lillian who died in 1979. I'm not sure where Lillian was buried, but it's not at St. Raymond's.

However, at the bottom of the stone, it does say "G. DiPerri" .. Am I correct?
I'm guessing and assuming here that although no dates were placed on the stone for Joseph, Joseph's name has come up as Giuseppe. So I'm assuming that the G. DiPerri stands for Giuseppe DiPerri and that it is indeed Joseph himself.

I have waited a long time to see the marker of my cousin.
I appreciate your effort very much.
Do you know what that small stone in front says?
