My Profile image is a "Making A Difference" award presented by NBC 15 News in Madison, Wisconsin for all of the volunteer efforts that go into making "Findagrave" a valuable resource. The piece may be viewed at the following website:|
Thank you to all of the volunteers that make Findagrave possible.
In my youth, I often looked through the box of old family images and negatives that was stored far away in the closet. Who are these people and what do they mean to me? While at college, my Architectural studies allowed me the opportunity to work in the Photo Lab. This experience enabled me to take those negatives and make them real, and as such was my first opportunity to create a family album and to understand our family's history. The start of a life long effort!
The advent of the computer and the internet just made it all that much easier. Over the years I have enjoyed making connections with family in the name of family research. There is a lot of information available from various sources and it takes one family member to organize it and make it available to all!
As past president of Clan MacCallum/Malcolm Society of North America Inc and now their "Family History Coordinator" I truly value our rich heritage and I endeavor to assist others in their ancestry quest.

Not a problem, too many Walters and Williams in that family it's easy to get mixed up especially when your very nicely adding photos to pre created memorials that just use initials.

Congratulations! Thank you so much for sharing the link with me about the award you received for your volunteer work on Find A Grave. You and every Find A Grave volunteer deserves such recognition. The piece was great - it is terrific that word gets out there about Find A Grave.
I said it in my email to you then and it still holds true - you unite families through your photographs. I am forever indebted to all of you.
I am excited the producers chose my email to use in their piece! I shared the link with my family and friends - some of who think my hobby of finding loved ones' graves at times is a little odd - along with my interest in cemeteries.
Again and again, thank you Neil for your continued hard work on Find A Grave ~ may our Lord always bless you.

Thank you so much for photographing our joint headstone. Since I live a distance from Forest Hill Cemetery it is nice to be able to see the marker online. You and others like you perform a service that is like no other. Thank you very much.
Thank you for your time and great headstone photo for Evelyn Oliva Olson Milliff's memorial page!
