Friends, you are invited to visit the memorial page for our son |
Nathan Peurifoy He died unexpectedly in October 2014 at age 26 from a diabetic coma. In six months I lost my mother and my son.
Thank you all for your prayers, friendship and care. It is appreciated.
The life of a person is more than the dash between two dates. It is my hope that the memorials which I create or manage can make the individuals life fuller, even if just linking to family members or adding a few tidbits of information. Researching and including other family information makes them more than graves, they are people. Suggestions are welcome but please submit them using the edit button at the upper right corner of each memorial.
Even when transcribing cemeteries I work hard to link other family members.
I live in the northwestern mountains of North Carolina and have work primarily in cemeteries there. My current focus is Carolina Memorial Park in Concord, North Carolina. There are 30,000 graves but only about 17,500+ listed. I've done more than 4,000 of those. Much of my family is buried there. I am also focusing on Salisbury National Cemetery Annex.
PLEASE DO NOT POST DEATH CERTIFICATES ON MY MEMORIALS.
PLEASE DO NOT POST OBITUARY PICTURES, THEY ARE COPYRIGHTED.
My family can be traced back 46 generations to County Leichester, England. The family is English/Norman. They came to England with William after the Battle of Hastings in 1066. The photo above is my ancestor, Sir Nicholas Purefoy, buried in The Church of St. Michael and all Angels in Fenny Drayton, Co. Leicestershire, England. The spelling of my name is the most rare of the three family groups: Purefoy, Purifoy and Peurifoy. The early Purefoys were in Jamestown, VA long before the Hugonaut movement.
On my paternal side I am interested in the Peurifoy, Purifoy, Purefoy, Scott and Suther families.
For my maternal side are Statons, Stiller's,and Moores (from Stanly Co, NC).
My wife is from the Byrd and Carr families of Duplin County, NC.
You are invited to visit the memorials of my grandmother Lillian Scott Peurifoy, my mother
Hazel Staton Peurifoy
and Father Robert Eugene Peurifoy.
Photos of graves are free to use. However, personal photos of individuals are copyrighted by this writer and can only be used on other sites by written request via email (not "public messages on my personal page) and acknowledgement of original owner of the photograph.
Thanks to all who help with my typo, mistakes and incorrect links. I could not accomplish this without your help.
Proud member of the Patriot Guard Riders.

|MSN||Thank you for permission|
Thank you for the general permission to use your photographs of grave markers. I created a memorial for a spouse for which you had take a photo for the double marker and appreciate your advance permission to use the photo for the new memorial.

Thank you for bringing the duplicate of Linda McCracken's memorial to my attention. It has been deleted, thanks again and regards.
Please see this memorial: 161804973.
It's amazing what you can find out once you get over the pond. The British/English keep great records. Pick the right paternal/maternal line and you're off to the Dark Ages and beyond. I found out that I'm English/Welsh on a maternal line with a few notable Sir's too. It's great fun.

You are very welcome for the pictures and data. My husband and I stopped by the cemetery last March. I took pictures of every grave and am slowly entering them into Find A Grave. My direct ancestor there is Sarah Phinazee. Her husband was John Phinazee, Revolutionary soldier. He is buried in the eastern part of Georgia. Let me known if I can help in any way with your research.

Thank you for the reminder of this common mix up with two cemeteries with the same name. I have doubled checked my recent entries and made corrections for three memorials.
I appreciate your keen eye and desire to honor our valiant veterans.

Okay, that's fine. Thank you so much.
Yes, I know all about mountain weather. I myself live in the same kind of area.
I would not ask, but I am the genealogist for our family reunions.
I make DVD's of our family tree & they get auctioned off to earn money for our next reunion. I need to be 100% correct on the information.
Thank you again,

Thanks so much for fulfilling my photo request for Nathan Loftis. Your efforts are very much appreciated!
|William "Bill" Belzung||# 12220435 Stephen Belzung|
Thank you for your kind acknowledgement of my son
Stephen. He was the same age as your son, Nathan.
He died of an accidental drug/alcohol overdose.
Absolutely the most grief stricken time I have ever experienced. May the God who created all things continue to show mercy to us all.
|Lpn0729||Emily Eason Peurifoy|
I have been researching and found that Emily and John have 2 children listed, William & Elise, whose birthdates are after the death of their mother. Do you have any further info on this?
