Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am of Acadian (French from what is now Nova Scotia), Irish and Italian ancestry, and my husband is of French-Canadian (Quebec Province) and Eastern European Jewish ancestry.

Our Canadian ancestors came to New England in the late 19th and early 20th century, to work in the mill towns of Maine, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

I LOVE the early New England gravestone art! But my main focus for genealogy is with our Canadian immigrant ancestors.

I welcome any excuse to go puttering around local cemeteries, taking photos, and hope I can continue to add listings and photos here for many years to come.

Many of my photos have GPS tags in the EXIF Data, and I've added that information to some of the memorials. But Find A Grave makes this very cumbersome to do, so I haven't added all of them. ALSO, some of the GPS tags are wrong, because of an intermittent problem with my camera. So, please, before sending an edit to add the GPS tags, look at the location to make sure it makes sense, and isn't located in some swamp a mile away!

I hate having to post this, BUT:

If you want to send me corrections/additions for the memorials I manage, use the Edit Tab on the memorial page. I won't make changes from messages left here.

I put a lot of work into my memorials - I don't just post the minimum FAG requires. Don't tell me that you'll send me your notes on a family and I can update my memorials from them. Send the SACs using the Edit Tab on the individual memorials, if you want me to make changes.

If you want a specific field changed (names, dates, relationships, etc.), use the field edits on the edit tab, not the OTHER choice. I won't make changes to fields from an emailed edit. Find A Grave has made it very easy to make field edits - let's use that system.

I will not post an obituary in its entirety, ever. It's a violation of copyright law, and also risks listing living persons.

And I will NOT link a memorial to an "Unknown Burial" memorial. Come back when you know where that family member is actually buried.

Requests for transfer will be judged on a case by case basis. For example, if you are trying to use Find A Grave as a genealogy site by adding all your "Burial Unknowns," I will not transfer to you. Although a wonderful genealogical resource, Find A Grave is intended as a burial registry and I won't encourage behavior that runs contrary to that.

RE: St. Mary's Uxbridge
Yes I did find my gg grandparents; Felix and Mary Allen (Name was changed from Allaire). See Memorial# 38240868.
St. Mary's is a nice cemetery although it's probably covered in snow right now. :) Beau.

RE: Henry and Malvina Gervais bio
Mary, I walked St. Mary's 10 or 15 years ago while looking for my gg grandparents and took notes of anyone that had surnames that I was researching. I never took pics at that time. When I joined Find-A-Grave I went thru my cemetery notes and added people to Find A Grave. Bottom line is that I'm not planning to take pics of St. Mary's graves. Beau.

RE: Parent surname?
Hi Mary, I checked my database and didn't find any of the Parents that you listed. I do have my Parent/Parant line all the way back to Antoine Parant in France in the early 1600s. I also have a whole binder of Parent Family Group Sheets that my mother left me that I haven't inputted into Family Tree Maker yet. If you'd like to look at what I have for Gervais or Parents in my file I can give you access to my Ancestry.Com database either by giving me your email id or your Ancestry id if you have one. Beau.

RE: Henry and Malvina Gervais bio
Hi Mary, I wouldn't spend much time on this. I'm not even sure if I'm related to these Gervais's. Are you related to them? Gervais is one of my 4 main lines (my mother was a Gervais) so whenever I come across a Gervais grave I record it. I was in St. Mary's cemetery because my gg grandparents Allaire/Allen are buried there. Beau.

Mae Gover Boisvert 133108646
thanks very much for the link. If a relative of yours I'd be interested to learn more about the Gover connection. You could leave a suggestion/correction on her memorial with contact info if interested

RE: Re: Bill Sadler's parents
I'm surprised you didn't know him from the cemetery You have done at lot of memorials from Lake view and Bill was a commissioner there for years. Upton had a policy change ?? and all the men that worked there were replaced except one. another great man (Randel) died, but they could tell u were any one was buried and they made the cemetery look very nice. They were all there everyday 7am-12pm. the guys are still around town and I have gone to them to get info. If you need to know where someone is buried I can usually find out so let me know. Thank You for all your help.
