Grandma Mac (Elizabeth Ella Kellogg MacFaddin) was the genealogist of the family. She got the "bug" from her father. She kept all her research in an old black suitcase. There were notes on all sorts of scraps of paper – the back of a grocery list, used envelopes and even a bank statement here and there. Her handwriting was neat and dainty. She would come down from Fresno and Daddy would drive her in to the Los Angeles Main Library to spend all day there working on her research. When she passed away in 1970 the suitcase was put away, until my sister took up the task in 1999, of sorting through all of Grandma's bits and bobs of information.|
I personally had no interest in genealogy. That is until 2008 when quite by accident, I found my Dad's name in another family tree. So it's not my fault that I've become obsessed with the family history. I have a need to connect the dots.
Back to Grandma Mac, wouldn't she just have a field day with all the information that is at our fingertips today? Many thanks go out to all the volunteers through the various groups, like Find A Grave that give their time to help put the family puzzles together.
Names I am researching: MacFaddin/McFaddin or McFadden, Boynton, Breed, Caldow, Clark, Cody, Higgins, Hiscock, Houghton, Kellogg, Rathermel, Sairs, Schuck and Wilder.

I don't know how you are related by thanks anyway.
I left him some flowers...on here and when I used to go to his grave it got too sad for me. I loved him...last year I went to see his mother and brother Roland's grave. I had to say a final goodbye. Thank You
Please transfer the Baby Girl McQuaid to my care. She was my sister.

Absolutely excellent information posted! Very helpful, considering Trinidad's mother died prior to the 1900 census.
Could not have located his parents without the information you posted.
Thank you so very much!

Margi, My name is Doug Weisbarth. I am researching the Weisbarth surname, which began in this country in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1848. Your memorial for Frederick Charles Weisbarth (#116085967) is a 2nd cousin in my tree. I have much information that I can add. Would you consider transferring the management of that memorial to me? My Find A Grave # is 47466375. Thank You.

Hi Margi -
Do you know anything more about Joy J Brach at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in California? She was in my high school class. If I remember correctly, she was a stewardess & supposedly died in a plane crash. There was a flight that crashed on May 7th, 1964, but the SSDI shows her death as 17 May 1964, and the passenger list for the crash does not have her listed.

I enjoyed your bio...Grandma Mac's story is replicated many times in families all over, I am sure!
I noticed you created mems for a couple of Purdues in the same Good Shepherd cemetery in CA, Elizabeth Ann and Shane Michael, both without birth or death dates...perhaps they have not died yet?!
I am searching for the death place, (cemetery) for
Clarence Everett Purdue
Birth 15 Aug 1887 in Yankeetown, Warrick County, Indiana.
Death 28 Aug 1976 in Bell, Califorina.
Marriage to Edna Ellen Robins
1919 Bef. — Age: 32
(I have found a mem for her)
Marriage to Nettie Pauline Owens
1921 — Age: 34
Salt Lake City, Utah.
I did not know if you might have access to records for Clarence or wife, Nettie. Any help is appreciated. Diane

Dr Gavin was my Dr when I was a child. I used to babysit for he and his wife Kay.
They were both such lovely people. Do you know Kay's maiden name?
I have a little more info about their birth and death.
Do you want me to update their 'find a grave info?"
Also I know of their children but it would not be appropriate because of their ages (probably still alive)

|Filip Pyrek||Emilia and Walerian Okonski|
my grandmother, who is living in Poland, is so thankfull you have found the grave of her older sister Emilia Okonski (born Chmura in Poland)
# 117224547 and the whole family Okonski, who emigrated to California. The last contact was by the death notice my grandmother recieved in 1968.
I kindly wanted to ask, if there is a possibility to find out more about Emilia's children (two daughters named Bogumila and Malgorzata). We have a big family in Poland wondering, if they are still alive and how they are doing/where they live now.
We appreciate your work very much and would be very happy if you answer (firstname.lastname@example.org).
