I use Findagrave to share incidental information I come across in the course of my regular work so others can find it.
I especially enjoy locating and verifying unmarked "forgotten" early burials in territorial-era cemeteries.

Fyi. Found this picture.

May I have your permission to download the photo of Mary (Ebey) Bozarth (Memorial #11383600)?
I would like to upload it into my Ancestry Family Tree. It would be wonderful to have such a lovely image of her!!
Thank you for your consideration.
This was a suicide, proven by Jack Hamann in his book, On American Soil (2005), which provided the evidence for the US Army to exonerate the African-American men wrongly convicted of his death and voiding their court-martials.

I added the info you provided to the memorial (very interesting). By the way, please remove the photo you uploaded since I read in the link you provided that you must obtain permission from Washington for the photo to be used.

The information on her memorial is from the Shelton Cemetery online directory of interments. There is no birth or death place listed. I have searched for Sarah in census records, but not (yet) found her, and found no other data. Would you please tell me the source for the location & different date of death in your edit?

Hi there. I'm wondering if you'd consider sponsoring this memorial so that more can be added to it. I have a photo of the in-laws' marker in Michigan, where William Slaughter's wife is from and buried. I can't add it to the memorial since the maximum number of photos has been reached, unless it's sponsored. Also, there's a biography online that seems to have a lot of good info on Slaughter and his wife, at http://www.usgennet.org/usa/wa/state/williamaslaughter.html, that I thought would be helpful to researchers. It seems a bit odd to me that no one from the Wells or Slaughter family has asked to maintain the memorial, but if you transfer it to me (a historian in Port Huron), I'll sponsor it and transfer it to any descendant of theirs who requests it. You don't have to, of course, I'm just making a suggestion. Thanks.
Thank you for creating memorial #138865278. If you hadn't created it from the 1890 article, no one would ever have found Esther. Many thanks. And also for the transfer :)
|Kevin Bingaman||Albert Gallatin Hovey|
The memorial for Albert Gallatin Hovey at the Corvallis (OR) IOOF cemetery was recently transferred to me. However, he is actually buried at the Eugene Pioneer (IOOF) cemetery in Eugene, OR. There is also a memorial for him at the Eugene cemetery. I would like to transfer the information for A. G. Hovey from the Corvallis IOOF memorial to his memorial at Eugene. As part of the process, I would like to transfer his image, the one you posted, over to the proper memorial.
Please transfer his image over to the memorial for A. G. Hovey at Eugene Pioneer Cemetery. Or, if you prefer, I would be willing to do so with your permission (giving you credit for the image, of course).
Thank you for sending edit information for Grace Strouse - # 73356192.
I have accepted your edits and am also adding other information for this family.
Thanks for all you do to preserve history!
Let me know if this is your family, and I will gladly transfer the memorial to you-
