If you are related to someone I have entered I will gladly allow you to edit it or transfer it to you if you want to substantially improve it. |
If we are both related to the person, I would be interested in exchanging information so we can make the memorial as reflective of the person as possible.
If I have taken a photo, I may be able to send you a higher resolution photo than was allowed on FindAGrave.
I have developed an interest in out of the way cemeteries and old, hard to read monuments. I find many are children and their gravestones may be the only information that exists regarding their short lives. I also take photos of stones that no longer contain information or perhaps never did. Someone thought enough of the people interred to mark their graves though circumstance prevented them from including any information on them or neglect or inferior materials prevented information from lasting.
You might consider this technique for photographing old hard to read monuments that removes the need for "controversial" enhancing:
Be kind, remember; Life is but a dance over graves...

|Damien Kay||Transfer Request|
I’d like to know if you would transfer the memorials for my wife's 3rd Great Grandparents to me:
Charles Masters # 90222805
Ann Sheppard Masters #90222804
My ID is #47113372.
I’d like to connect them to some of their descendant's memorials. If you are related, I would love to share information!
|FamilyTreeMagic||Find A Grave Memorial# 120530111 Fanny Beard|
I was hoping that you would be able to read the death date on Fanny's upright tombstone and her age. I think I have read them correctly but I just want to check with you and see if you have a clearer picture or higher resolution.
Thank you for photographing her tombstone.

Thanks so much Harvey. John R
|John Richardson||Jonas Earll|
Our family has been looking for the records of Joseph Earl Sn for 90 years and has come up dry. David Anthony Richardson LDS Genealogist claims the name was Jonas Earl. His wife was emphatic that the name wasn't Jonas, it was Joseph. So there was this contirversy for years until I looked up Jonas Earl on Findagrave. I came up with Jonas Earll (sometimes called Joseph). a record by yourself. This is very good news for our family. I come through Joseph Earl, son of Jonas Earll who married Dorcas Tabatha Wixom. Their son, Syulvester Henry Earl is my ancestor. I would like to have reverences on the alternate name Jonas and Joseph for Jonas Earll. Could you kindly guide me in that direction? John Richardson email@example.com. Thank you so much!!!!! You will become famous in our family for your article on Jonas Earll.

Please remove the message thing you have added to this memorial for my relative. I think if you check, you will find this sort of thing violates the rules of Find A Grave. What most people do is show the area where the tombstone should be if there was one, i.e. the area near her husband's stone. That type of picture is much more pleasant
to look at.

Harvey, You are very welcome, and yes, I had to crop my slippered feet out of the photo!
|Sheila Farrington Schweitzer||Bessey in Old Village Cem. Marcellus|
Thanks so much for adding the edits for my Bessey family. They were among the early settlers in Marcellus arriving in Fabius before 1790 and most settling around Marcellus area in the years to follow.
|Frederick Porter||Parsons in Marcellus|
Hi Harvey Bell,
Over the next few weeks I will be working on my Parsons relations buried in Marcellus. I will be adding brief bios and making edits, would you prefer if I requested transfers? I apologize for the changes if they are a problem.

I note you added photos for George Bell 1896-1927 in the Kelloggsville Cemetery Cayuga Co NY. I've come across a newspaper article describing the fatal accident. I'd be happy to send it to you if you'd find it interesting. Unfortunately, I cannot tell what newspaper it is from. Pat D
