I have been researching my family and my husband's for almost 13 years. I love this site. What a great tool to locate missing ancestors. Some surnames I am researching are: Holte, Neikirk, Avery, Longworth, Tarwater, Wells, Chapman, McGeorge, Lovett, Clark, Prather and Kerr. Many more, too many to list. Also, if you find a photo that you like on any of my memorials, go ahead post them to yours. No permission needed here. Genealogy kindness.|
If I have put in an obituary of a loved one, that is your family, and if this is not your wish, please let me know and I will delete the memorial. My intention is to honor loved ones, forever, and not to offend any family member.

You have a note posted on Frank Kerr, who is my second great grandfather. His father was Frederick Augustus Kerr, born 1812 in Pittsburgh. Do you have any information on the parents of Frederick Augustus Kerr? Thanks.

You are welcome. It's notes like yours that make the trips/pictures all worth while. That graveyard has to be the most interesting I have ever been to. It is about 1/4 mile into the woods without pave road access. It is a little disappointing to see it not being maintained.

I found funeral notices for Carrie and brother William McGeorge. I can email them to you if you want them. They download from my library's web site as full pages of the paper in pdf format and the notices are in the funeral notice columns on the page. That is nice because you then get the name of the paper and dates and all that good stuff with it for where the funeral notice came from.

Gad zooks!! What was I thinking?! That was a big oops. McGeorge was not her previous married name, it was her maiden name. Way to go Nathan. :-]
Brother William is buried next to her.
This is funny. Somebody put in a request earlier today for pics of a grave in that very same Lot, Lot 11, that Carrie is in!! The request was for a Lottie Compton. I put Lot 11, or near by it, for several graves due to that part of the cemetery being thee oldest, or one of the oldest sections of the cemetery and there are a ton of unmarked graves in that section and a ton more have no location etched into the border of the gravestones. I know right where it is though. Somebody else today put in a request for two Schiltz graves in Columbine section. Those two graves are about 20 feet from the Lot Carrie is in also! Columbine and Roselawn sections butt right up against each other and if you aren't paying real good attention and know the area, you think you are in one section when you are actually in the other one. This is crazy, three requests in the same day for graves that are all no more than 20 feet apart! There are 250,000 people interred in this cemetery in their 500 plus acres, so far. What are the chances of this happening? Maybe I better go buy a lottery ticket?
Could you do me a favor and put in a request for pics of Carrie and her brother's graves? I will be going up there tomorrow and be right by there.

There is a duplication in the Park View Cemetery of Duff Gordon Chapman. Yours is 37497973 and Lester's was 27747092. I have sent a note to him.
There is a note on his memorial that there is no record of his burial in Park View Cemetery, Manteca. If you have a location, I would take a headstone picture for you. His has a lot of pictures and information.

It's nice to know that the photo was appreciated. I haven't done much for Find A Grave this year; however, I did get to that cemetery when the sunlight was shining just right on those old markers so I took as many photos as possible. Your appreciation will help spur me to do more this fall now that the weather is cooler.
Enjoy the weekend!

I added a memorial for each twin and added the picture of the gravestone.

No, I'm not sure of marriage date. This picture could very well be from when they got married! There was another one of them with another couple, one of the two couples look like they got married. Dated 1938
