First I guess that I should say that I have been doing this for the better part of my life. Almost 55 years.|
My early days included clipboard, many hours in the death certificate office and a Kodak 110 camera. I thought I was something when I got my first 35mm, and of coarse my 2 or 3 digital cameras I wore out the first 2.
Well Guess that's enough about me. I could ramble on and on.
Here is a list of my (Find a Grave's) policy on a few things .
PLEASE do not add birth or death certificates to my memorials!
I TRANSFER REQUESTS
We handle transfer requests in accordance with Find A Grave policy as quoted below. Please do not request a transfer unless the request follows those guidelines. Please note that transfers are only required if you are a direct relative within four generations per the Second section below. Below is Find-A-Graves transfer guidelines:
How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?
First, Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested If you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.
Second, Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Third, If you have extensive additions/changes to make to a memorial, please contact the Find A Grave member who created the memorial via the "Suggest a Correction" link under the "Edit" tab on the memorial in question with your request to have the memorial management transferred to you. This will send an email request to the contributor, even if there is not an email address listed on their contributor page.
Fourth, Explain your relationship in the request! Any non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) are not required to be transferred. Keep in mind that the original contributor may also be related to the memorial and may not make the transfer. Bulk surname requests should not be made. Be advised that memorials listed as famous or maintained by Find A Grave will not be transferred.
Fifth, The "Suggest a correction" feature may also be used to submit corrections, an original biography, and family links to memorials that do not fall under the above defintion. (Be sure to include the memorial ID#s for the family links and how they are related, father, mother or spouse. The original contributor should make any corrections and add any additional information you have for that memorial, such as links to parents and spouses, provided the information is accurate.
Sixth, Please note that it is not appropriate to request a transfer and then, after receiving the transfer, delete that page and substitute it with a new memorial that you have created. This practice denies credit to the original contributor. Please use the original memorial page to make updates and add information.
I always want to be here to help anyone that I can, so if you need anything, please message me.
Please, Please double check your corrections that you would like to have made on memorials. It's hard on all of us when we get 2 or 3 corrections.

|Jim Reece||Della Bradley|
Any idea who I can talk to that may have more information about Della Bradley (Find A Grave Memorial# 15389904)? I am trying to find a Della Bradley McMahan, but I am having no luck. She would have been my great grandmother. The Della Bradley in Oakland Cemetery has a birth year and death year in line with the woman I am looking for. However, the Della I am looking for was married to a man in the mountains of North Carolina. He is buried alone in Gaston County, so that seems to fit too. I just can't figure why Della would travel so far west, possibly alone, then pass away and be buried there. Any suggestions is deeply appreciated. Jim
I have her death certificate and if my translation is correct then it lists Ora or Old Whitely Cemetery - Baker's Mill. That is the only lead I have. Are one of these three Whitely Cemeteries considered Old?
I noticed that you have taken many photos of the Whitely cemetery in Princeton, Johnston, North Carolina and I wondered since there are three Whitely Cemeteries listed if you happen to know if one of them would be considered by Baker's Mill. I am specifically looking for Polly Murray who died in 1927 and her death certificate lists her burial in Ora Whitely's Cemetery - Baker's Mill. Do you know where that cemetery may be? I found these three Whitely cemeteries listed in Johnston County and since the undertaker listed on her death certificate is in Princeton I am hoping one of these three Whitely Cemeteries may be where she is indeed buried. Any help you can give would be appreciated. Thank you!

Tim, My apologies for not having read your note sooner. Been asleep, it would appear. Yes, that would be a tough name to carry around; and I thought mine was bad. Dick
|Robert Woodlief||Thanks for the hard work.|
Thank you very much for the hard work you have done on my families memorial sites. And thank you for transferring most of them to me. People like yourself who are dedicated to preserving family history are wonderful people.
|Traci Barbour||Headstones Johnston County|
Very long time since you and I spoke. I think I remembered you and Cherie tracking down Plyer Barber's headstone on a piece of land there off Federal Road there in Johnston County. I think Cherie told me the land is owned by a Cathy Barber who is descended from Plyer Barber. Anyway, I have some pictures of headstones from a Parish and a Harper that are only a few feet away from Plyer's grave. I'd like to pick your brain about any info you might have about the land and if it's still in the Barber ownership.
I hope this finds you well since it's been at least 2 years ago since we spoke.
