I joined Find A Grave to assist in my genealogy research and to help share my information with others. My Family lines are Brooks, Kelly, Valentine, Gubka, Neumann, and Bender. I want to thank all the volunteers who have help to build this site.

I am making an effort to photograph the veteran's graves at South Lawn Cemetery in Tucson. I have photograph section 17, but need to enter them.

Please use the Edit tab on any memorial to request a transfer, link a spouse or parent (I will need the memorial #'s and names) or to add any additional information. You can also leave a public message on my contributor page. Please be patient I don't always check my emails on a daily basis.

Permission is granted to use any headstone photo I've added to Find A Grave (contributed by myself, John Brooks) for any genealogical use, as long as they are not offered for sale.

Grave Marker Photo
Thank you very much for taking photos of the grave markers of Claude W. House and Orpha Ruth Mitchell House. John House was their son. I did not know that he had died. I created a memorial for him and will request a photo. You suggested the following plot locations for the graves:
Orpha: Section 10, Block 20, Lot A, Space 2
Claude: Section 19, Block 20, Lot A, Space 3
Why are they in different sections?

You are welcome! Sorry it took so long but i guess you know by now I had a stroke on July 19th. I have been in and out of nursing homes and hospitals ever since. Just got home and i hope to stay for awhile.

Thank you!
John,
Thank you so much for your work on identifying and posting grave sites. My stepfather is Milton W. Rowe, a veteran who you recently added. He passed away when I was 16 and my half-brother William was only 3. My father and grandfather are in a different section of South Lawn.

I commend you for recognizing our veterans!

Dear John Brooks,

I would like to say THANK YOU so much for finding my
Great- great grandfathers grave site. I am very appreciative of your detective work. That is so sad that all those people's graves were disturbed, exhumed & relocated to a community grave.
You are such a kind and thoughtful person to take time out of your day to do this for someone you don't even know.
It truly means alot to me, And has enabled me to complete this last chapter in searching for my great-great grandfather.

In gratitude,
Laura Marmolejo
