I have been working on my family tree for a few years now. My Mom is my only living immediate relative that knows anything about our history and I thought it best to capture soon. She is now 83 and time is ticking.|
My Dad was born in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California and my Mom in Lufkin, Angelina County, Texas.
Both my parents were only children, so my brother and I didn't grow up with any cousins.
What I have discovered though is I must be a cousin, of some degree, or related by marriage to half of Lufkin, TX.
My Maternal family line is rather well documented and the names I am most interested in are Oates, Nerren, Beauchamp, Freeland, Snider, Upchurch to name just a few. The list is rather long.
My Paternal ancestry is a little more vague and deserves added attention. So if you have any information about the Schumacher and Timlin family lines, I would love to hear from you.
I apologize to each and everyone who finds my edits irritating when I connect family members together. Just know that I spend time to make the right connections.
If I place red roses on the memorial, I am related to them in some form.
I want to thank all of the wonderful people that take time out of their lives to contribute to Find A Grave. We all owe you our debt of gratitude.

|Michael J. Rea||Headstone name|
I have accepted your edit on John. I was just wondering about the spelling of last name on headstone? Did the miltary make a mistake? I was going to look futher into trying to find obit and other information but haven't do yet to date.

|Arleta ♥||RE: Ragsdale Family|
I have James Henderson Ragsdale, son of Levin Ragsdale & Rebecca Merritt in my database. I have him married to Sarah Dulin on Dec 7, 1854 in Greene Co., MO. I do not have listed a death date for any of them but have their son, John Watson Ragsdale (memorial # 52002328) buried in Wade Chapel Cemetery without a stone, but verified. I have their daughter, Sarah, married to a Mr. Couch but have nothing but census records for her. She might be the Sarah Jane Couch (# 17612260) but I have not been able to find a Death Certificate for her to learn maiden name.
I am sorry I cannot be of more help.

I have added the additional information. Thanks.
|Portia Solomon||RE: Lehrton Cemetery|
Debbie, there is no "Ruleville Cemetery." Every time I have seen it mentioned, it is referring to Lehrton, so I don't know why they don't say Lehrton. Maybe people just assume it is Ruleville. I believe you will be safe putting the memorial there. I live close to Ruleville and would be glad to look for the grave. It is a big cemetery and the last time I checked it has not all been added to Find a Grave. I had hoped to document the whole cemetery but have not been able get back to it.

Thank you for the information Debbie. My mom gave me a family obit just this weekend and was talking of these three young ones who lost their lives in that terrible accident.

Hi, Debbie - I appreciate all the info you sent. I'm not related to most people whose memorials I've made and just don't have time to do much research at all on them. Thank you! ~ Janet
