DOES ANYONE KNOW THE NAME OF THIS UNION OFFICER? He appears to be a 2LT. IM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HIS NAME AND UNIT. On the reverse side of the photo it says Partridge's Gallery, Wheeling West Virginia.|
Findagrave was founded in 1998. When I first joined this site back in july 1999, we had to mail our photos to Utah and they would upload the records. This meant I did not get credit for many records. Anytime you see my photos dated before 2002, that meant I found the records but only credited with the photo. This is one of my contributions I leave to future posterity.
I would guess it was around 2011 that they added links to connect family members.
Tips on researching your family tree.
Records from the 1800s:
Example 1. Mary T. Lincoln, the 'T'
usually represents her maiden name, not her middle initial.
Example 2. Robert Todd Lincoln. The first born son's middle name is usually his mothers maiden name.In this example, Todd is his mothers maiden name.
My goal is to do Quality Work, Not Quantity Work.Copyright information: You may use my photos. Most people do not give credit to the people who actually take the photos.People listed as FAMOUS on this site are "maintained by findagrave", which means only they can edit/add information. Any records I have that are Famous, I can't change a thing for you, sorry.

Hello again Tom,
Thank you for the unexpected transfer of Wilford to me. I appreciate it, he was a son of Anton and Elizabeth.

Thank you for the great grave marker photo of Anton. I appreciate you taking the time to do this. I really wasn't sure he was buried there but you supplied the proof!

|Barry Michie||Edington Memorial Transfers|
In continuation of my previous message (I hadn't seen the transfers yet) thanks much for the transfer of the Walter E. & Ella Mae Edington memorials to me. Quite unexpected!
I've developed Ella's a bit further, adding a bio section plus linking her to her parents. She's one of my distant cousins (or a great auntie ??several time removed).
|Jeff Record||RE: floral hills elverna compton|
Tom, sorry for the late reply. I don't know of a connection as the Compton's aren't my direct line. I appreciate all that you have done. My great aunt married into the Compton family.

Thanks much for taking and posting the photo of Walter Edington's grave marker in Floral Hills, KC, Missouri. Very much appreciated.
|New Grandpa||RE: margaret finney|
Thanks for the picture. I have copied and added to the memorial if you want to delete your copy.

Yeah I knew they were all together. I used to live in Kansas City and My mom says she remembered they were next to each other. I just noticed I didnt link Mary and Herman's profiles and so the photo you posted of their headstone is only on his. I connected them now but I couldnt post the photo on Mary's so if you can post it that would be great. Here is the link,, http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=140803810
|Steven Waynick||Thank You Tom|
