Are all the Children In?
I think oft"times as night draws nigh
Of the old farmhouse on the hill.
Of a yard all wide and blossom-starred
Where the children played at will.
And when the night at last came down,
Hushing the merry din,
Mother would look around and ask,
"Are all the children in?"
Tis many and many a year since then,
And the house on the hill
No longer echoes to children's feet,
And the yard is still......so still.
But I see it all,the shadows creep,
And though many years have been
Since then,I can still hear Mother ask,
"Are all the children in?"
I wonder if when the shadows fall
On that last short, earthly day,
When we say good-bye to the world outside,
All tired from our childish play.
When we step out into that Other Land
Where Mother has long since been,
Will we hear her ask,just has of old
"Are all the children in?"

|Claire||Florence Dent Creasman|
I am Claire Chapman. I am the grandaughter, of Florence Dent Creasman. I had that picture, and
wanted the world to know here. She was a great
cook. She was the one that got me to eat my veggies by putting powdered sugar on them.
I am talking about butter beans, and green beans, and pinto beans. I never would eat them at home, and she said that the powder was "magic" and would make me run fast when I was growing up. It worked, and I got rewarded by her allowing me to play the piano. By the time I got to the 8th grade, I decided that I wanted to learn to play. I learned in 1 year to play all of the hymns in the Broadman Hymn Book.
That was something. I played for my church group then, and later on, became able to play before several hundred people. Then, at my college, I played before an entire audience. All because I was allowed to play after I ate my veggies, this
was a reward by this grandmother. How life is, and what motivation we have from our grandmothers.
I want to personally thank you for putting that picture by her findagrave.com info.
She was a great friend. She was a wonderful grandmother, and I called her"Nanny Dent".
She could make a pumpkin pie, and it was outstanding.
I loved it.
That was a reward, too.
I ate everything on my plate at Thanksgiving only to play that upright piano.
My grandmother lived on South Dent Road.
The house is made out of rocks, and it is still standing, and is located above Dent Acres.
I hope that one day, you can see it.
It is on a hill, and this hill has flat hills.
It rises to a big mound, or hill.
It is directly across from what orginally was
Irvin and Loneta Dent's house. They died, and then, their grandaughter, Pam Dent had it.
She sold it.
Take a look at this house. See if you can put that on your findagrave.com
I send my kindest regards.
Thank you for that picture.
I have found all of the Dent family. They came from Yorkshire, England. The Dent family I found , I went all the way back to 1400.
Right now, I am working on the Harper family.
Some of them came from Wilkes County, Georgia.
Some of them came from Albemarle County, Va.
Then, they migrated over to Tennessee.
The Harper family that my grandmother is kin to
is W.C. Harper that married Addie Davidson.
That was her dad. He was married in 1843 in Knox County, Tennessee. He moved to Hamilton County, and raised a large family on the house that is at the intersection of Thrasher and Gann Road.
It is still there, too . It is a while panneled house. It has a garden on the side of the road.
The house has not changed since about 1968.
I have a picture of it, too.
If you know anyone in the whole world that is trying to find the father of William C. Harper
also known as William (Caswell/Caselton) Harper that was born 1816 in Virginia, let them know my home address:
Claire Chapman, granddaughter of Florence [maiden name Harper] Dent[married name first time to Flavis I.(Ira) Dent, and the 2nd marriage to Walter Creasman).
P.O. Box 1315
Perry, Ga. 31069.
Thank you dearly !!!!!
Have a great day in Jesus as we say down here in Perry, Ga when we are talking kindly to someone.
My most genuine regards.
I really do look forward to keeping in touch with you.
I know that life is busy, but if you get a moment in life, please write.
I know that my mailing address is always good.
I hope to hear from you.

|Crystal Burnham||Marion B Burton and Kittie Moore|
They are husband and wife and you have the tombstone on this graveyard but you also have her as the wife of Alfred Burton, who was Marion B Burton's father. That is incorrect.

|In Memory Of Nannie||R B Prestwood|
Please take a look at the memorial 91976428. The photo gives his year of birth. Also the name on the tombstone is R B Prestwood. I don't have any idea is the spelling is correct on the tomstone or not. Thanks
|amwj1||RE: George Alexander Myers|
I don't know either. As far as I can tell,he died a few years before his wife. I keep imagining that he is buried in that same cemetery. Thank you very much for your note and offer.
