Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi, I'm a retired police officer for the City of North Charleston in South Carolina. I retired in April 2005 with 33 years in law enforcememt. I also served 4 years in the USAF from 1967-1971. I have a beautiful wife, Roxanne, a beautiful daughter, Stephanie, who served 8 years in the United States Air Force and is now in the USAF Reserves. I have a beautiful grandaughter, born December 1, 2006, and her name is Raena Makenzie and she is the apple of my eye. I love to read and study history of the war for southern independence and World War II.
Find A Grave is one of my favorite sites, it is very interesting and full of unlimited history. If you have some free time please stop by my mom and dads site and I would like to thank everyone for all of the beautiful flowers and messages left for them, it really means alot to us.

The Flag
It is time to remove the Confederate Battle Flag from Find-a-Grave and retire it to a place of honor. Please honor our veterans using another, more appropriate symbol.

Thanks for the great honor that you gave my great Grandfather. I had no idea that he was a Civil War soldier. I was born in TN but moved to Indiana when I was only 6 years old and am now only starting to do some reaserch on my Grandmother's side of the family. My Grandmother (Maggie) was the youngest child of Jake Graves.
Thanks again for your input - I really appreciate your comments.

Thomas Jefferson Adams
Hi, Tony,
In the last few months I have joined the wonderful world of genealogy. Thomas is my great, great grandfather. He is buried in Howell cemetery in Monroe County, MS. I have been studying him and loving every minute of it. You left the following message on "Find A Grave" honoring him. Thank you for your kind words. I am proud to be a descendant of this brave man. Sincerely,
Barbara Adams

Remembering and Honoring a True Southern Hero, a Confederate Soldier. Deo Vindice.

Thank You
Thank you for the message you left on my Great Grandfather Joseph Benjamin Barrett's site. He and three of his brothers all served in the CSA. Thank you also for your police service to your community. We too are a law enforcement and military family. Our son retired after 20 years as a police officer and is now a Lt. in the Sheriff's Department of our county here in Texas.

Thank you so much for the visit for Yannis's Angel day. It made a hard day a little easier to know that so many friends care.
