Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been researching my family history for over 30 years and this is an absolute passion :)

Primary surnames are McCluskey, Curran, Barber, Neil & Edgar (maternal) and Chester, Thompson, Slawson, Templeton & Holmes (paternal).

I share with many the firm belief that we are merely stewards of 'our' memorials - we manage them and are entrusted with their care and maintenance, but we do not technically 'own' them. As another member so eloquently stated, the ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it.

I'm certainly open to transferring memorials or updating as needed; my goal is to 'connect not collect'. Please use the Edit tab.

You are welcome to copy and use anything I post in any way you like.

Enjoy, Joe

RE: Slawsons
Hi Joe, I too descend from George Slawson of Bedford. Eliza Slawson Merry was my great Aunt. Perhaps you can help with a Slawson mystery. I am trying to prove Samuel Slawson as a patriot for DAR. His son Henry is my weak link. Henry was born in Westchester Co. The Slawsons moved to Duanesburg in late 1800. Hannah died in 1803 and Samuel in 1804 leaving several minor children. I have been unable to find anything that proves the link of Samuel to HEnry. No church records in Westchester or Duanesburg. No bibles, real puzzle. Can you think of anthing I can do to bridge my gap? thanks, Nancy

I took the liberty of transferring this memorial to you as you clearly know about her.
I hope that is cool. I just too the marker pic.
Have a good day!
