Charlene Teifer Stiffinella|
B. 1948 Michigan -
I am extremely interested in my Teifer, Menerey, Hanson, Fitzgerald, Lokker, Elenbaas, and Herczeg connections. I have many photos of graves under surnames of Teifer, Menerey, Lokker, Elenbaas, Hanson, and Fitzgeralds from Michigan in my family ancestry. Should anyone need grave photos of any of above-get in touch with me. If I have these names and graves in my cemeteries, I will donate a grave photo that I have.
I also want to thank everyone that has contributed my ancestry grave photos and has worked so hard to get them. I feel that they are important to who we are and we have to keep them "alive" in our hearts and memories.
I love the ancestry experience of finding those before me. Will take pictures of graves here in my area, as possible, for those who need them. Provided I "fulfill" it fast enough and have some notice, and weather permitting! Being a genealogy "graver" is new to me, I am a little slow. Am enjoying doing it for fam members that cant be here to see them theirselves. This is a humbling experience and we need to respect these many people.

correct - his grave is unmarked. If you open the caption for the LEWIS plot, it gives a brief description. This is a great photo of both adjoining LEWIS plots.

Thanks Charlene. Please let me know if you have any others from this area that you would like photos of. I noticed that quite a few of the markers are so worn that you can't read anymore so it is nice to get these photos before they all disappear! I also noticed that there are quite a few requests from my area and will do my best to work through them this summer. It's been a wonderful experience so far and graving is very relaxing and "quiet".

I'm quite interested in learning more about Dan's boy, Lemrock. I've found a few things about him children, wives, etc.
Who was Dan Lewis's father and mother. I yhought ma be his father was Cornelius Lewis, but I'm uncertain.
I'm very happy to have found the exact location of my ggg grandfather's farm in Richmond Township, Macomb County, Michigan.
I's definitely time for me to take my second trip down there.
While I can't find photograph's of my ggg grandparents, I found Find - A - Grave photo's of some of their neighbors. For me, it gives a feel for the era. Thank you much, Patrick Flower

One of the two memorials should be removed. I say it this way, because cemetery information can be edited like names, birth dates, etc. The steps are
- Click the [Edit] link next to Burial: (Edit the burial information for Memorial Person's NAME window will open)
- Click the Continue button (Step 2: Find the Cemetery - Memorial Person's NAME window will open)
- Enter Cemetery Name, Country, State (in this case Saint Thomas United Church of Christ Cemetery, Northampton County, Pennsylvania) then Click the Search for the Cemetery Button
- Click the Save Changes Button if the correct cemetery appears
If you have already recreated the memorials in Saint Thomas United Church of Christ Cemetery, I recommend deleting the Altona Cemetery memorials to make things simpler.
Thanks for your help and understanding.

I've finally solved the mystery of your Lemrock
Lewis buried at West Berlin Cem, Berlin Twp, Allenton,Mich!
While at the twp office seraching for records I found that he is buried in a 4 grave lot.
With him is listed:
Clare Lewis 12-5-1886 6y 343da/365da
Wilma(Alma?) died 3-23-1887 at 39y 67/365 da
Lemrock Lewis died 2-17-1917 at 61 yrs
one empty lot. (not sure of the lady's name)
I'm not sure if the dates are death or burial dates
I went to the cem and did not see any stones.
There is a large area without any stones, next to the flag pole and drive where he is buried.
I did see some names of Flower, a Theda, Wm & George. I didn't see any listed with his name.
I hope this helps and if you want more I can go back as it's really close for me. Char E.
|The Lady in Black||Is this one of your relatives?|
I was looking at the local obits yesterday, and saw one for a Mrs. Constance A. Teifer:
If you click on the Services tab, it says she's going to be buried at Mt. Carmel.
Oh, wait, just looked...that's William's wife! One of the memorials I transferred to you awhile back.
Just wanted to let you know, in case you hadn't heard. My sympathies go out to you.
I have something else to tell you, but I've forgotten what it is now. I'll eventually think of it, and let you know.
Take care, and forgive me if I'm the bearer of bad news.
