 | Paul Octave Hebert Vandalism Hello, Your concern about Paul's grave may have been vandalized may be resolved. I also had the same concern and looked at the pictures and his flowers posting the below thoughts.
Thanks for bringing up the concern and seems like everyone can see it was just Mother Nature falling a tree. Regards Ken
"Looked at the railing picture further and the gate front has a bent top arch piece with the bottom two parallel vertical railings bent open. The right side of the railings also is bent. Seems like a tree fell on the grave giving indication of the forced bending. I am satisfied this may not be vandalism. - Kenneth Ramagost Added: Jun. 9, 2012" "The railings may have been hit by a fallen tree. Could the wire on the grave been used to remove the tree and Why is it on the grave. May have been outside and the lawn service pitched it out of the way on the grave?Ken - Kenneth Ramagost Added: Jun. 9, 2012"

 | Julia McClintic BTW, the "MC" in the library website stands for "McClintic". She was a major benefactress in the Marlinton area. When I was teaching SpEd from 1974- abt 1984, in Marlinton, she provided funding for extras that we could not get through the school system.Added by Watoga on May 08, 2011 7:17 PM | | | Watoga
 | Pocahontas County, WV These are our Pocahontas County, WV genealogy sites which might be a help to you, if you need it.

Unfortunately, the VanReenan Funeral Home in Marlinton lost all its records in the 1985 flood. Therefore, for burials prior to that, they can't be of any help for individual gravesites.
The other funeral homes used most frequently in Pocahontas County, WV are Wallace & Wallace in Arbovale, WV and Wallace & Wallace in Lewisburg, WV.Added by Watoga on May 08, 2011 7:12 PM | | | | [View all messages...] |
