Grandma Mac (Elizabeth Ella Kellogg MacFaddin) was the genealogist of the family. She got the "bug" from her father. She kept all her research in an old black suitcase. There were notes on all sorts of scraps of paper – the back of a grocery list, used envelopes and even a bank statement here and there. Her handwriting was neat and dainty. She would come down from Fresno and Daddy would drive her in to the Los Angeles Main Library to spend all day there working on her research. When she passed away in 1970 the suitcase was put away, until my sister took up the task in 1999, of sorting through all of Grandma's bits and bobs of information.|
I personally had no interest in genealogy. That is until 2008 when quite by accident, I found my Dad's name in another family tree. So it's not my fault that I've become obsessed with the family history. I have a need to connect the dots.
Back to Grandma Mac, wouldn't she just have a field day with all the information that is at our fingertips today? Many thanks go out to all the volunteers through the various groups, like Find A Grave that give their time to help put the family puzzles together.
Names I am researching: MacFaddin/McFaddin or McFadden, Boynton, Breed, Caldow, Clark, Cody, Higgins, Hiscock, Houghton, Kellogg, Rathermel, Sairs, Schuck and Wilder.

|Laura Hawkins||Millie Palmquist - DUPLICATE|
Please DELETE Find A Grave Memorial# 116756037.
She Millie Palmquist is not at Holy Sepulcher. This can be verified by the OCCEM Database. This is a duplicate of the one you have created in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
Thank you - Laura

I have be looking for Margaret Rowe's burial place for a long time. You have a margaret at the Good Shepherd Cemetery in huntington Beach, Orange, CA. Is there by chance a head stone. If not how did you get this info. Margaret is my Dad's sister and she died when he was 8. That is 82 years ago, and he doesn't know where she is buried. If there is a head stone could you take a picture of it. Thank You for your help. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
|Rob Barrans||Sharon Kaye Van Houten|
Margi, I am a Van Houten family historian. Is Sharon Kaye Van Houten part of your tree? Or you are you like many "find a grave" members just posting information at random about graves? Thank you, Rob Barrans
|Keri Caye||James G Dallas grave|
I don't know how you are related by thanks anyway.
I left him some flowers...on here and when I used to go to his grave it got too sad for me. I loved him...last year I went to see his mother and brother Roland's grave. I had to say a final goodbye. Thank You
Please transfer the Baby Girl McQuaid to my care. She was my sister.

Absolutely excellent information posted! Very helpful, considering Trinidad's mother died prior to the 1900 census.
Could not have located his parents without the information you posted.
Thank you so very much!

|Doug Weisbarth||FAG Transfer Request|
Margi, My name is Doug Weisbarth. I am researching the Weisbarth surname, which began in this country in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1848. Your memorial for Frederick Charles Weisbarth (#116085967) is a 2nd cousin in my tree. I have much information that I can add. Would you consider transferring the management of that memorial to me? My Find A Grave # is 47466375. Thank You.
|J Allen||Joy J. Brach 1937-1964|
Hi Margi -
Do you know anything more about Joy J Brach at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in California? She was in my high school class. If I remember correctly, she was a stewardess & supposedly died in a plane crash. There was a flight that crashed on May 7th, 1964, but the SSDI shows her death as 17 May 1964, and the passenger list for the crash does not have her listed.

I enjoyed your bio...Grandma Mac's story is replicated many times in families all over, I am sure!
I noticed you created mems for a couple of Purdues in the same Good Shepherd cemetery in CA, Elizabeth Ann and Shane Michael, both without birth or death dates...perhaps they have not died yet?!
I am searching for the death place, (cemetery) for
