Summer is almost here! After the long, bitterly cold winter of late 2013-early 2014, it is so beautiful to welcome the golden warmth of these days back into our lives.|
After 20 years of living in Boro Park, Brooklyn, I am now in the process of leaving this community. Since I'm busy with apartment searching and packing I will not be on FindAGrave many times a day. I will check once each day for tokening and checking messages. Please allow me time for any replies needed.
Special thanks go to all visitors who have tokened my Mom's memorial and those of her birds. The Cardinal (Red Bird) has special meaning to me. In my Mom's journals, which I found after her passing, she attempted to create fairy stories in which a Red Bird would appear at mysterious ways and times to help maidens in distress. They were fragments at best but expressed something of my Mom's underlying quest for unity with God. Her later journals were more focused on Scripture as her spiritual journey matured. I often think the Red Bird was an embodiment of her yearnings and the only vehicle she could think of in the early stages of her quest. Thanks to all who took the time to note that and leave these special tokens at her memorial.
My relatives are from different religious backgrounds: Orthodox Jewish, Roman Catholic and Episcopal. If you have questions about the type of token to leave, please contact me by EMAIL. This is not usually an issue but if you have any doubts I'm happy to clear them up for you. I'd appreciate it if visitors do NOT leave Masonic symbols or inverted pentacles at ANY of the memorials of relatives in my bloodline. I can confirm they were never members of any Masonic Order or the Order of the Eastern Star. For them these symbols are inappropriate and will be removed.
I volunteer for the Fallen Graver Forum by leaving tokens at memorials established by the Fallen Gravers. If you ever need to contact me about any token I leave please be assured I will promptly comply with your request for changes or deletions.

In all matters of kinship: If we are related in anyway, then contact me by email and provide a link at Ancestry or some details about your family line, or perhaps your memorials here at FindAGrave.
Tokens and Comments MUST be respectful and not include any kind of political or ideological slant. Anything of this nature will be reported to the Admins for removal if it is not promptly removed by the person who placed it at any memorial I manage.
Transfer Requests: You must follow the established FindAGrave procedure and request transfer using the Send A Correction feature. Again do not use the Public Message board for this purpose. I do not transfer my relatives unless you are closer in kinship than I am. I will gladly transfer memorials of those not related to meand am willing to do so outside of guidelines provided your request shows a sincere desire to take over Stewardship of the memorial. Please supply enough details to help me make such a decision.
Public Message Board: Please use for specific FindAGrave matters. Anything outside of FindAGrave should be conducted by direct email to me.
Multiple Token Requests: PLEASE, do not use the message board when you desire to have a large amount of your memorials flowered or are requesting flowers for other memorials you know about. I have limited time and want to balance my participation in the Fallen Gravers Group with flowering other memorials I select as Spirit guides me. I cannot dedicate this limited time to ongoing requests from any one person. A thoughtful comment or prayer plus choice of appropriate token or flower requires time, thought and sensitivity as guided by Spirit.
To reach the largest number of people possible, post your requests for flowers, tokens and prayers through the Mourning, Grief and Support Group over at the Discussion Forum. I appreciate your understanding.
Anyone who posts numerous requests for tokens at my message board will have them deleted since as I state there is a better way to do this and that is through the Discussion Forum.

I have just returned to NY this AM. You are so very welcome Emily Ann. Your blog about your family is just fascinating. I feel honored about the way you have included my name in your story. Isn't it amazing how Angelina's grandson contacted you!!! I will continue to read your blog as it is so informative. You really have a knack for writing!!!

Thanks for your kind post. You are very welcome. I feel that everyone deserves to be remembered and that Find A Grave gives us that opportunity.

You are welcome Emily Ann and I enjoyed the visits.
Have a great 4th of July week-end.
|Mario Ragucci||Hey Emily Ann|
How are you? Just stopping by to say hello and let you know that I am thinking of you today. Your family history is pretty interesting, like mine. I like to see that I am not the only one who takes family history seriously. Well, saying that on Find A Grave is kinda arrogant sounding :-) Everything with me is good. I wish I could one day actually visit the cemetary your maternal grandma is. It looks so peaceful and respectful. All the best to you EmilyAnn. I admire your history.
|Rhonda C. Poynter & Friends||Maybe fixed????|
Hi, You're right, it seems to be fixing itself, now; I hope that I don't jinx it. ha! I'll make sure that there is at least one token from me, and if you don't mind I will highlight Buster for visits...he deserves many more tokens than he has. =) Have a good weekend - Hugs, RCP and GB
|Rhonda C. Poynter & Friends||2nd Try|
I'm writing to tell you ab9out a problem with leaving tokens on your page(s), but it does not look like you are getting messages from at least me, either...I will see if this went thru and go from there/Hugs, RCP and GB
|Rhonda C. Poynter & Friends||Buster Kennedy|
I wanted to say hi and to let you know that I have no idea what is going on with a page of yours I just visited, Buster Kennedy's...if you go to it, I think you will see - if you see what I see - three tokens right in a row from me, my apologies for that. The screen kept saying "no recipient chosen" (the first time I have ever seen that on here!) and so I would click back and try again...now I can't get the extra tokens off. More than a few of my site friends say that they have continued to have these kinds of problems ever since the crash last week, I wish it would straighten out....but I did want to explain, if I can't get the extras deleted. Hope that all is well with you and yours, and have a nice holiday/Hugs, RCP and Gannon Blue
|Maspeth||RE: Angelina Torregrossa Tortorici|
I just returned from a weekend away. Emily, I am so happy for you. To think that the name Anthony Tortorici was unknown to you just one month ago. I believe that the cosmos causes people's lives to touch for a reason. If you need any other help just ask me and If I am able I will assist you. Thank you for all of your kind words.

It is a pleasure for me, to make the rounds and spread a little bit of Love around when the time permits.
