Bio and Links
Bio Photo My heritage stems mostly from the Ohio/Hardin/Logan/Muhlenberg Co. KY area and the Warrick/Boonville/Newburgh area of IN.

Our family came to the U.S. from England and settled in the areas of Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, and North/South Carolina. When the original 21 families came to settle in Ohio County, this brought some of our ancestors from the east.

I am interested in finding family members from my husband's heritage including James/Long/Johnson/Rogers/Crittenden/Templeton/
Wellborn/Penrod/Wood/Harper/Mosby/Matherly/Wand/
Thompson. They are primarily from the Ohio/Logan/Muhlenberg area of KY.

I am interested in finding family members from my Dad's side including Addington/Purdue/Thompson/Work/Swab/Coffee/
Palmer/Cain/Rhoads/Igleheart/Barnard/Nichols/
Pigman/Severs/Kimbley/Williams/Dickerson/Hudson. They settled mainly in Ohio Co. KY and the Warrick Co area of IN.

I am interested in finding family members from my mother's side including Nacke/Richardson/Noe/Wooldridge/Nichols/Martin/
Utterback/Hicks/Lawson/Beadles/McGinnis/Sanders/
Matthews. The Nacke family is from Ehrson Germany along the Rhine River. This ancestry is well documented and fairly complete. The members of the other clans are mainly from Hardin/Grayson/Ohio counties.

I am currently trying to add photos and memorials of family members. I am asking anyone who wants to use my photos to get my permission first please. FYI from Find-A-Grave..."The copyright of all photos posted to Find A Grave remains with the original submitter. No use of photos for any other website or personal use is permitted without the prior consent of the original submitter."

Thank you to all the generous folks who have posted memorials, photos, and taken photos for me.

RE: Duplicate memorial

Dear Ms. Addington:

I don't believe that the David N. Bell (3287565), Lebanon National Cemetery, Kentucky, is the same person as David Bell (122352103), Corinth National Cemetery, Mississippi. Records show that the latter died at Tuscumbia in northern Alabama, was at first buried there, and later interred at Corinth, Miss., about 50 miles away. Do you have other records?

Sincerely,

Eric

RE: Re: Karen
Thank you. If Karen has passed, is there a way to assume ownership of her entries?

Robert Southard
Hi,
You asked if I knew where the wives of Robert Southard where buried. I am sorry, but I have no proof of anything. But I do have my suspicions. I really think that Frances Ann Igleheart Southard is on the other side of Robert Southard's headstone. His headstone was an upright one but has fallen over and is laying on the ground. I really think her information is on the other side of the stone. I do think she is buried in the Chapman Cemetery. If not on his stone then maybe her's has sunken or is unreadable. That is just what I think, but with no proof there can be no memorial. I don't know about Sarah either. She may be at Southard Cemetery but I haven't found a stone for her at either place. I have walked the cemeteries in that area and I cant find anything. Sorry, Not much help I am afraid.

Parent of Donald Gill Maddox
Diane,
Thanks for catching this error.
It seems that the father linked to Donald is actually his Grandfather.
I am not the owner of this record (the error is in the Sears Cemetery record for Wm. Joseph Maddox.
I think both men are buried there, but I'll have to do some further searching, as my records don't have Wm. L's burial place.
I will send a message to Karen the owner for possible correction.
I tried to correct my record (I didn't catch the mistake when I linked to the parent).
Thanks again,
Ken
PS I removed the Mrs. from Elizabeth F. Rowe Southard's entry.

RE: William Leroy Purdue
I'll try to locate William Purdue's headstone and see who is nearby. I wasn't able to find an obit for Flora with the last name of Purdue.... Wonder if she remarried...?
