I was born in Poplar Bluff, MO and raised in Puxico, graduated from Puxico High in 1960. I taught Civil (structural) Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville for 33 years retiring in 2002. I now live in Horseshoe Bend, AR.

I have been searching for my ROOTS since about 1998, Wish I had started when my parents were living. Family names include: Buttry (with various spellings), Holloway, Keith, Summers, Thompson, Austin, Pool, Hyslop, and Keener. Most of these appear to have started in VA/MD, then NC, TN, IL to MO. On my wife's side the names include: Breedlove, Dickinson, McFarland, Durham, Bell, Cook, Foley, and Elgin. An interesting sidelight--in 1812 NC, a Butt(e)ry married a Foley which appear to related to myself and my wife.
