Bio Photo I enjoy so much doing findagrave photos! I gather any family members or friends I can to go trekking off on an adventure. My granddaughter has been going out with me since she was about 4 and loves our cemetery outings! I love doing family history work for our family and helping others with their research!! Findagrave has helped me with a lot of the research, because there is no way I could travel to all these remote places my ancestors once lived to find their final resting place. It is thrilling to be part of a volunteer effort that assists so many other folks! And a little exercise and sunshine are a bonus.

RE: Hoptay Photos
You're very welcome for the photos. I haven't gotten to the Rosehill side of the cemetery to look for Anna Hoptay's grave in Section 71 but it is on my list to do so. I do requests by section so I can get the most requests done at one time. I was able to do about 36 requests that day by visiting a small cluster of sections adjacent to the Elmwood lots. I think I came across the Hoptay grave in Last Supper by accident so I took the photo, because I didn't have a list of requests for that section with me at the time.

There is a John Hoptay buried with Anna in the same grave. John died in 1980 and was buried on March 1. Husband and wife, I guess. There is no memorial page for him but you can create one and when I take the photo of Anne's marker, if there is one, I'll post photos to John's memorial page as well. Then all of the Hoptays at that cemetery will be accounted for.

James Byrd
Could you please delete the photo on James Byrd's 91625992 memorial for his parents (Louis & Sarah). They have their own memorials with the photo. Many thanks.

RE: Dorothy RIcks Pollet
I had a hard time figuring it out myself! Had it not been for the SS Records and living family members I probably would have never known either. Lots of people are listing her as Guy's child.

Dorothy RIcks Pollet
Hi - Pretty sure Dorothy Pollet Ricks was not Guy's daughter. She was the daughter of his brother "Reno". My Aunt knew Dorothy pretty well and was also real good friends with Peggy Jo. Peggy was Guy's daughter and always referred to Dorothy her "cousin"
