Asahel Palmer
You had requested a photo of a
Asahel Palmer, b. 1819
Cottonwood Cemetery
Lake City
Calhoun County, IA

I did find a stone for a Evaline Palmer, that said "wife of Ashel Palmer" Oct, 9th 1888, 62 yrs, 11mths.

It's the only Palmer I could find in the Cottonwood Cemetery, I do have pics, didn't want to post them to the request, until i talked to you.

Britton Family
I am the Grand Daughter of Ruth (Hart) Mcconnell
She was the Daughter of Beulah Britton Hart. I was wondering how you were related? I have a ton of old pics from 1800's & 1900's that she had.

John Sherman Chamberlain
Well, I found him. He is in the Veteran's section. His wife is in the section that is just below the Veteran's section. They are about 150 feet apart or so.
John's stone has very shallow cut letters on his stone. It made it hard to get a good picture of his stone. I went by there several times and took several pictures and this one on his page turned out the best. It never gets full sun there.
There are a few pitch spots on his stone. Pitch drips on the stones under this big tree he is under. I got some of it off.

John and Mary Chamberlain
I got pics for Mary Chamberlain's grave today per your request. I did not get pics for her husband. I will explain.
I can only make a few requests per week, on Monday, from the cemetery Mary and her husband are in. Usually a husband and wife are buried beside each other. A lot of the time if someone puts in a request for pictures for a husband and wife I will just ask the cemetery for the location for one or the other of them so as not to have to ask the cemetery for any more than necessary. Also, it gives me an opening to request one more location for somebody else.
Well, this time it did not work. I went to the location they gave me for Mary and John Chamberlain was not there. Sigh. I looked all over the area and could not see him there. I did that same thing for another couple, that pics were requested for, and they are both buried together. So it worked for that request.
So, this coming Monday, a week from today, at which time I can make another request for grave locations, I will then put in a request for John's location. That will still leave me almost a week before my time limit to get pics of John's grave expires.
Mary is in Grave 1 in the Lot she is in. There is an Isaac Miller in Grave 2 next to her, 1892-1958. Grave 3 has no stone and is either not used or is somebody with no gravestone.
Can you tell we are having a drought here in Oregon from the pictures I got today?
