Bio and Links
Bio Photo My father once called my brother and me, "Dead end kids", and now that I am doing this genealogical research, I can feel his disappointment. Both of us had our reasons and our spouses felt the same, but this Find a Grave research has given me great satisfaction. We may not leave descendants, but we can leave a heritage for other members of our extended families to find as time goes on. This is a great network of volunteers who are willing to help each other "fill in the blanks" with photos and information.
I had several professional lives, which seems to be the norm. I was first, a fashion designer and spent two years living in New York City enjoying that, then felt called to an occupation with more long-lasting benefits, so returned to Arizona and taught third grade children for 30 years. Upon retirement, my husband and I opened an Antique business which we enjoyed for several years. Since then, discovering the family roots has become a passion...who knew we had been in this country, in many branches, since the 1600s! Now I am hooked!

Mary Elizabeth Wade
I was searching for additional clues to my family tree and saw where you had left a memorial flower and sweet note on the find-a-grave site for my great-great paternal grandmother who was Mary Elizabeth(Stahl) Wade:

" Mary Elizabeth Stahl married George Washington Wade on the 6th of June 1848. Sleep peacefully. You are not forgotten.
- Cerelle Bolon"

Thank you so much for your hard work and sweet thoughtfulness! Your efforts have brought a smile to my face ... and I'm sure to many, many others.

May God richly bless you, Sandra Lynn (McMillan) Cox
daughter of Waldon Wade McMillan - your note was placed on 11/23/2012 - exactly 88 years after my daddy was born, and exactly 4 years after he died. His mother was Ava A. Wade, daughter of William Jackson Wade (1864-1950)- whose parents were George W. Wade and Mary Elizabeth (Stahl) Wade.

Cerelle- So sweet about the sticker from his grandchild. I added a note about it in the caption area under the photo. Peggy

You are very welcome. I couldn't read what the sticker said, but I figured someone who loved him put it there. Peggy

RE: Ezra Butler
OK, this was from your request for memorial #15333110 Ezra Pitt Butler at Oak Hill Cemetery, Battle Creek, MI son of Ezra and Tryphena Diggins Butler.
He is already attached to his parents. :)
It wasn't my memorial I was just looking for requests at the cemetery and came accross yours.
Thank you for your response and happy hunting.

Ezra Butler
You requested a photo of Ezra's headstone along with his wife if possible. Who is his wife?
I have added his obituary and I am not sure that he has a headstone.

RE: Benjamin Allen
Thanks and we can share info prob best thru e-mail.

There is not a Richards Cemetery set up, so it seems it should be for Benjamin Allen and Lydia since the h/s inscription is right on. Do you agree?

However there seems to be a bit of confusion about the Ascutneyville Cemetery as it has 1100 folks (no Ben and Lydia) but does have a couple of Parker who were transcribed to the Richards Cemetery.
