|I am interested in family genealogy. |
I will happily add correct information.
I greatly appreciate the FAG members that have photographed and/or listed my relatives. I especially want to thank those who transferred my family and friends to me.
Family trees, family documents, Genealogy Bank, Dalby Database, MN Historical Society's Death and Birth Certificates Index , Minnesota Official Marriage System, US Dept of Veterans Affairs Nationwide Gravesite Locator,Legacy.com, FamilySearch.org.
Happy hunting! :)

Section E is the only section that is complete. I concentrated on it because of the ground inset memorials. The snow would eventually (now) make them inaccessible. I'm working with Paul to do sections at a time. My next ones, probably not for a couple of weeks will be 2k, 2m, 2l, 2t and 2u. If you want to send me any people you want in those sections, I'll add them. It's much easier working within a section or a couple contiguous sections than trying to run all over the cemetery. Paul uses a virtual cemetery setup under his user profile and I copy the names from there from each section, but it doesn't matter how they come, requests, personal email, whatever. As long as I can get them. I tried to get from the admin a listing of unphotographed plots by section but they said it couldn't be done.

Thanks. I've got about 4,000 at Ft Snelling missing plots & links, so edits are welcome and helpful, as I work on getting them prepared for photo requests.
Thanks for your kind thoughts. The storm turned away from us so we got 18 inches of snow instead of 30. It stopped at about 3 yesterday afternoon and a good outcome from it was that my entire block got together to shovel out everyones sidewalks and driveways. Real community builder. BTW, while the storm has buried the memorials of section E for probably a while, I completed the photographing of that area about 10 days ago. I just have to input all of them. I'll be looking for your requests specificly this week.

Thank you! I did the Roy Kromschroeder memorial. So you can cross that one off your list.
I looked at some of the sections you and I work in. Not much snow left but winter is not over yet...darn. I will keep you posted. Enjoy your week too.

And thank you for all yours as well.
On a side note, concerning the Irish & Scottish surnames that begin with Mc - the "space" after the Mc is a horrible abomination. Personally, I had visited this site for many years and never knew that hundreds of my relatives were (sort of) already listed. I say "sort of" because after I joined, I found they all had memorials, but their names were all horribly misspelled with a space after the Mc. So in a sense, they weren't memorials for my relatives, but were for strangers that strangely used a space after Mc. The Irish & the Scotts don't use a space. Some National Cemeteries are nice and clean - no Mc "space" names. Not coincidentally, those cemeteries never have duplicate memorials for Irish Mc names !
I know the VA lists some (not all) Mc names with a space in their database, but that's just a buractic function to denote the letter after "c" should be capitalized, it doesn't mean their name has a space.
I don't know what to do with names that begin with De, Le, Van & Von. I keep hoping someone will show up and explain whether to use or not use the space. But the Irish names I know !
You do a nice job with all your memorials. Anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to ask.
You're welcome as always. I know that "need to get out of the house" feeling. Good that Steve's able to get back out. Anyway always open when you're ready.
I hadn't thought about it, but Noreen did disappear kind of sudden. She's one of the good ones. Hope all is well with her.
You stay warm and well out there....Glenn

|Anne Wagner||Thank you, DeniseL,|
Thanks for transferring the care of my mother-in-law, Jackie Wagner's, memorial site to me. I appreciate your initial work getting it in place! Best regards, Anne W

I"ll check on him when I get home in a few days. Yep, 25 markers aren't in great shape and those photos were after I trimmed and did some cleaning!
Thanks for letting me know about searching. Thought you might have a secret.
