I was born in 1945 in Vancouver, WA., and I have lived in Spokane, WA since 1950. I am a Vietnam Vet, a father of two girls, adopted dad of two more children and I claim my wife's three children, as well. I now have twelve grandchilden.
I graduated from Eastern Washington Univ., taught school briefly, and just retired after fifteen years as the Facilities Manager for Spokane Teachers Credit Union.
You will get more volunteers to take the photos if you include the section and plot locations by calling the cemetery before making the request.
I am enjoying this hobby, but it can be very frustrating when you reach your "brick wall", as we all eventually do.
Walter w. Johnson. 138266133 You Put in that he was born in 1894 but the picture of head stone says he was born 1885. You entered he died in 1971 but his headstone states he died in 1964 and the cemetery records have him being buried on 7 Dec 1964 Could you make the appropriate changes? Thanks
RE: Thora Cady I'm afraid I can't tell you much, as she died when I was a child and I never met her. I know she had a daughter with her second husband. His name was Harold D. Groves, and her daughter was Patricia May Groves Leigh - Patricia is also deceased, so I'll see if she has a Findagrave memorial. Thora later married Harry R. Cady.
Thora was my great grandmother Alice Johnson Keen's niece (Thora's mother Myra is Alice's sister). I just added some information to her memorial and then noticed that you are also a Cady. Are you related to Thora? If so, I hope I didn't overstep my bounds there.
You wrote, "You are right about the two Ronald Hill memorials in Greenwood cemetery in Spokane, WA. I have not figured out how to delete one of them, however. I have deleted duplicate photos but deleting the memorial is a different thing I guess. I could maybe transfer it to you and you could delete it."
Don't transfer the memorial to me! Transferred memorials can't be deleted without going through the Edit people.
Along the top-right side of the memorial (above any photographs, and below the "Edit" tab) are buttons for the options "Transfer,""Edit," and "Delete."
RE: Ladocicea You're welcome. This cemetery was quite a climb, at the top of a cow pasture, surrounded by barbed wire. I took a lot of photos, but I wasn't exhaustive (darn it). I'll plan to go back in the springtime. Glad I could help - Researcher
