San Diego has some of the best Find a Grave contributors who are doing an amazing job of documenting our local cemeteries. If you need a grave photo there is no shortage photo volunteers. If you are looking for an obituary, cemetery information or advice we have volunteers happy to help you. If you are new to Find a Grave and want to start contributing in the San Diego area please read the FAQs or reach out to someone with your questions.
Please always do a search before creating a new memorial
Links, Corrections and additional information Please use the edit tab and I will be happy to make corrections, add links and additional information. Do not leave information you want added on this page.
Note: Abstracted lists (such as census, death index, etc.) should be formulated into complete sentences prior to submitting for addition to the bio. Copy-and-paste census, military and other data is not a "bio". Please don't send these type of bios because they will not be added.
Transfers This is Find-a-Grave, we find graves, so please, if the memorial doesn't have a grave photo, request one prior to asking for a transfer. I'm pretty liberal when it comes to transfers, however too many times I have transferred and nothing is added or changed. So if you want a transfer, please: 1. Post any family photos (if you have them) 2. Provide me with family links and biographical information you wish to add to the memorial. 3. Tell me your exact relationship
I will not make a transfer if you create excessive memorials with unknown burial locations.
Please be a Find a Grave contributor, not just a collector of someone else's work
✔ PLEASE NOTE!!! Do not move your Burial Unknown into the correct cemetery based on the information you found from my memorial & then demand that I delete my duplicate.
Thank you for creating memorials for my family members. We have updated the nameplate and hallway photos and I respectfully request that you remove the older nameplate and hallway photos that you posted years ago.
Their first names are Morrison, Nella Vida and Aristine. Below is a link to the photo of the older nameplate. You will see links to the other two family members on that memorial.
Let me know if you have any questions about my request. Thank you again.
I find a Alice Cravy listed at plot 50 with the same year of death but no birth year. She is noted as being 75 years old though. I Have not been able to find her stone but I will be going back to do more searches and will keep it on my list. Is it possible they are the same person and used Alice or Olive as a nickname?
There is also a E. Cravy listed in the same location with unknown dates and a notation there is no stone. That may be another possibility.
These are online transcriptions not actual cemetery records.
Photo of Effie Hiatt et al. Hi Gennaphyr, May I have your consent to use your photo of Effie Pence Hiatt on my personal website, rabgenealogy.com? Her memorial number is 57344099, and she is buried in Inglewood Park Cemetery in Los Angeles County. I will give you a "courtesy of" credit below the photo. My site is a hobby site; I don't make money off of it or charge anyone to visit it. Thank you.
Nellie May Osburn Hi Gennaphyr, Just a correction to Nellie's bio. She was my great grandfather's sister. Her birthdate was 14 OCT 1863 • Shasta, California. That's from her passport. She was born Nellie May Dunnells. Her parents are in that same Elk section--Samuel Sumner Dunnells and H. Elizabeth (Moore) Dunnells I am signed up with Find a Grave too but you emazing people already did all my people in Greewood! Thanks, Ellen Squire Fancy
Transfer & thank you Hello, Thank you for your generosity in transferring: Oliver F. Fernald # 114058219 to my care. With your help, I have successfully connected him with his parents, 3 siblings, and 5 of his six half-siblings. As I receive more information, I will be adding it to Our shared memorial. With sincerest appreciation, Marcia # 47059326
RE: Sarah Grubel Hi again! I know these next 2 - 3 weeks are going to be a serious crunch time for you. I just wanted to let you know that another volunteer, CJ Jackson (#47426410), sent me a lot of clippings on the Grubel family, including the obits for Sarah "Sallie" Grubel and Marjorie Hayes Taylor Grubel. I imagine they're the same as those you've come across. Please don't worry or think that you need to keep this on your list of "things to do" I appreciate all you've done already. Thanks again! Erika
Per my request back in Feb 2015 I would like my grandparent's memorials transferred to me. I never received a response with my first request. I have posted family photos on the memorials. I would also like my uncle Ronald Morgan's memorial transferred to me as well.
