Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy for nearly twenty years and have a wealth of cemetery photos. I have loved walking through cemeteries and reading the tombstones, especially the very old ones. I thought it was time I shared my photos with others, and I hope that it helps someone find their ancestor! By adding tombstone photos and bios on Findagrave, I have found a great way to share twenty years of research on my Maryland Simpson family.

More recently, I have been challenged to get the very oldest tombstones in a cemetery photographed, while they are still readable, and add them to FAG. Two of my endeavors have included Greenmount Cemetery and Baltimore Cemetery, both in Baltimore City. It has been very rewarding to find those born in the 1700's, who helped shape the City of Baltimore, place them on FAG, and then to hear from one of their descendants who had been looking for them for years!

I am glad to make any corrections and/or additions. If I have added any memorials of your family member and you do not wish it to be posted on this site, I will be glad to take it down. Also, please ask permission to use any family or tombstone photos, and give me credit for the photo. Thank you.

RE: Willie & Callie Ison - Glenwood Cemetery
Thanks! A long sad story for those who had bought space in the Abbey back in the 20s or so. I've been trying to locate those that were not moved to Falls Church - which on F.A.G. if you don't know the name good luck! Anyway you found 2 of the them and by chance I came across the obit for when one went to the Abbey

I just realized that I gave you incorrect info. My Aunt Frances is buried at Lake View Memorial Park, also in Sykesville.

RE: Hungerford
My mother is Joan. She was 6th of the 8 children. I liked the picture you posted under my great-grandmother's entry. My grandmother, Ludelle, looked just like her mother. We have kept my grandmother's name in the family, Ludelle was her first name, my mother's middle name, my middle name and one of my daughter's middle names.

My mom's oldest sibling, Frances Baker, is also buried in the same cemetery. She passed away in the last few years.

I noticed some familiar names in the family history. I have only started researching in the last year or so, so any new information that I find is wonderful. I am thankful that people like you are willing to share their research!

Thanks for sharing your information on the Hungerford family located in the Springfield Cemetery in Sykesville, MD. Josiephine Hungerford Harrison was my great-grandmother. Thought you might like to know that Josiephine's daughter and my grandmother, Ludelle F. (not E. as listed. Her middle name was Frances.) Leatherman is also buried in the same cemetery. Since I am new I was not sure how to link them as had been done with other family members. Thanks again!

re: transfers
thanks for the Moore transfers. I had taken pics of all of Hines cemetery and someone sent me a booklet of legible gravestones there and I was just posting my pics and matching them to memorials. My gg grandfather John Lavely is buried there with a couple of his kids. It was a mess to figure out the stones.donna
