Bio and Links
Bio Photo As a lifelong resident of Mecca, OH, my key cemeteries of focus are East Mecca, West Mecca, and Hillside. I've also performed extensive photography and transcribing work in North View in Gustavus, Brownwood, Sager Memorial and Greenlawn.

I am a descendent of the Armstrong's, Guy's, Poling's, McNinch's, Winans', Winters', Harris's, and Donston's.

My grandparents are:

Paternal:
Charles William Armstrong
Florence Lucille Poling Armstrong

Maternal:
James Loy Guy
Virginia Marie McNinch Guy

I originally joined Find A Grave to locate the graves of my ancestors, but I've since been on a quest to help others locate their loved ones as well. I've been photographing graves and adding as many memorials from local cemeteries as possible. If you find your relative among my list of managed memorials, please don't hesitate to ask me to add additional information, link family members, or even transfer the memorial into your management. I just won't be able to transfer my own family members but I can make adjustments or additions on your behalf. I will transfer outside of the Find A Grave guidelines! I believe if you are kin-direct or not-the memorial belongs to you before me.

As a child, I was always fascinated by cemeteries and walking along the gravestones to read the inscriptions. To this day, I have such a great interest in the people who have walked this earth before me. I believe that these headstones are so much more than a plot in a cemetery; these were people just like us with lives be they long or short that were filled with dreams and goals and passions. Every memorial I've created has been given as much love and attention as possible. If information is missing, it's only because it was not available to me. I scour birth, marriage, death, and census records and resort to family trees. Please kindly inform me of additional information for these memorials and I will be most happy to add it. Also, do not hesitate to send me biographies or obituaries (with proper citations) as I will be happy to add them and give you credit.

Feel free to use any of the grave photos I have taken for anything you like. Please just ask permission before using family photos. Most of these family photos are already on Ancestry.com.

Because I am a new mother and business owner, it takes me a bit longer than before to process edits and respond to personal requests. Please be patient with me. I am no longer able to photograph cemeteries or do heavy research work, but am currently only maintaining memorials and processing edits. I'm hoping that will change in the distant future.

Please reserve the message section on my profile for general questions only. Please send all revisions, additions, or transfer requests through the "edit" tab on the memorial page in question.

2nd reply
Hi again Ashley,
Thank you for the nice reply and I do know your father and mother. I actually graduated in 74 with your Uncle Randy Armstrong and Ken Guy. Please send my regards to all. I've lived out of state for nearly 20 years and don't get back home much. The Ulrich's that you went to school with I believe are my 2nd cousin Bill's daughters. Thank you again for everything and keep up the good work...
Best wishes,
Dave Ulrich

Thank you
Hi Ashley. I want to thank you for taking pics of my Dads stone Harold E Ulrich And Grandfather Boyd E Ulrich plus numerous other Ulrich's in Sager plus Evergreen. I believe I went to school with your parents at Maplewood. I always had the same interest as you by walking cemetaries for the same reasons. I found a lot of ancestors that I didn't even know I had like my Great great great Grandfather David Ulrich buried at Evergreen by walking through there when I was in my thirties & seen all these Ulrich's I never knew existed. I found a book at the Bristol library called The Book Of Bristol and that book has a lot of interesting articles on Bristolville plus dates of births & deaths of the residents. I backtracked from my Dad, Harold, Grandfather, Boyd, Great Grandfather Walter, Great great Grandfather, Chauncey to my great great great grandfather, David. It was weird seeing my name on a stone at that age and figured that these people had to be related to me but most everyone I could have asked about all this had already passed on. Anyhow, I read that David was one of the first settlers in Bristol And he sent for his father & brother to join him who was from Lancaster, Pa when they in fact did move to Bristol also. I never knew until then that I had such a rich history in the area. Thanks again for your wonderful work. Respectfully, Dave Ulrich

RE: Carrie Young
Have you considered that she died right after the wedding? What is the last place we know Carrie to have been? Where did the wedding to Spaulding take place, if known?

Ohio, Deaths, 1908-1932, 1938-2007. Ancestry.com has the page with her death on file. Who else are we looking for?
