Born and raised in Warwick Township, Lancaster County, Pa., I now live in Hershey, Pa. I am interested in the Witwer, Leeking, and Eby families.|

I finished computerizing the records of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Rothsville. To supplement those records, I am trying to make sure that everyone in the cemetery has a Findagrave Memorial, even those without a gravestone, and that each person is linked to his parents. If you can help by providing information, please contact me, and please add personal photos that you may possess.
Most of my memorials are connected to either the families of interest to me, The Hannes Eby Death and Burial Book, or Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery in Rothsville. I also try to add some of Old Warwick Township's hidden and vulnerable family cemeteries. Before I add a memorial I usually research it extensively.
PLEASE send ideas and corrections, but I am reluctant to transfer any of the foregoing memorials.
However, whenever I visit a newer cemetery I take a few "serendipity" photos. These are gravestones that catch my eye for whatever reason. If you are related, please let me know, and I will transfer them.
And, since this is Find-a-GRAVE, I am loathe to link to "unknown" burials.

I was wondering how you obtained access to the Metzger Graveyard in Middletown, Dauphin Co., PA. I would like to visit the graveyard this fall after some of the plants die back.
|Sue||Re the parentage of Michael Bitzer.|
I have a copy of his father's, John Bitzer's, will (it is also online at the LDS site). In the will, written by John Bitzer on July 11, 1809 and proved March 7, 1810 (John Jr being executor), he gives the name of his wife and 10 of his 11 children. They are as follows:
wife - Eve
6 sons: Michael, Martin, Andrew, John Jr. and the 2 youngest Solomon (and unfortunately he doesn't give the name of his other young son).
5 daughters: Ann Maria intermarried with Abraham Sweigart; Catharine intermarried with Martin Werntz; Sybilla intermarried with John Sweigart; Mary intermarried with 2nd husband Philip Sherck (her first husband was George Werntz and her 2 sons by George were sons George and William - all mentioned in the lengthy will); Barbara (deceased) and no surname given - mentions that there are 3 children of hers and also mentions that she had a 'love daughter'.
This is all easily verified if you read the online will, written in english and signed by John Bitzer (signed properly, no 'x' for his mark).
Therefore, it is proven that Michael Bitzer's parents were indeed John and Eve Bitzer and I would appreciate your linking him to his parents as the Bitzers are my husband's family. Thank you.

|Gross Keller||RE: John Bitzer (151039642)|
He was affiliated with that church & no other as far as I can tell. In those early years, most people were buried at their church. Plus he has family & descendants buried there. Never got around to contacting the church to ask but feel very strongly that he is buried there. Wouldn't make sense for him to be buried elsewhere. So I have everything that points to him being buried there, just nothing in black & white saying he's there. If I find he's elsewhere for sure, I'll make necessary changes. I haven't looked at my Bitzer info for awhile but something in it should say something about his burial or proof of it in Trinity.

I find a book about the Shirk family history from 1665 to 1914 by Henry Y. Shirk that list Mary's parents as Emmanuel Shirk ,and Miss Sallie Bucher.
