REMEMBER: The United States Social Security Death Index ONLY gives the last known address or location lived in and the state where the number was issued. It does NOT mean that the person was born there or died there. |
DO NOT TAKE ANY PHOTOS FROM THE MEMORIALS THAT I CREATE AND MAINTAIN AND ADD THEM TO THE MEMORIALS THAT YOU CREATE AS YOUR PHOTO (EVEN IF YOU GIVE ME CREDIT)! THAT IS STEALING!!! I AND I ALONE HOLD THE COPYRIGHT TO THAT PHOTO THAT I TOOK. The photos I add are from the many hours I spend walking the cemeteries to document them by taking pictures of the headstones. If you have created a "burial unknown" memorial and then are informed that they are in a cemetery with a memorial and photo added, and you move yours to that cemetery, DO NOT TAKE MY PHOTOS AND ADD THEM TO YOUR MEMORIALS! Just ASK ME NICELY to add them to your memorials so we do not have duplicates. But if you add the memorial AFTER I added mine (the date created will be the truth of when it's created) then you are deliberately adding a duplicate (against the rules) and will be asked to remove yours.
PLEASE DO NOT POST PHOTOS OF OBITUARIES ON MEMORIALS. ANY MEMORIALS THAT HAVE OBITUARY PHOTOS PLACED ON THEM WILL BE REPORTED TO FINDAGRAVE TO BE REMOVED. THESE ARE NOT ALLOWED. PLEASE TRANSCRIBE (TYPE) THE OBITUARY OUT AND STATE THE PAPER AND DATE AND SEND IT THROUGH THE EDIT TAB TO BE ADDED TO THE BIO SECTION.
ALSO, PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE VITAL INFORMATION (BIRTH AND/OR DEATH INFORMATION, PARENT INFORMATION, ETC. ON THE VIRTUAL FLOWER SECTION. THAT IS NOT WHAT IT IS FOR AND I WILL HAVE IT REMOVED. CLICK THE EDIT BUTTON AND SUBMIT THE INFORMATION THERE (INCLUDE WHERE YOU FOUND IT) AND I WILL ADD IT TO THE BIO SECTION. THANK YOU.
DO NOT LEAVE TRANSFER REQUESTS, EDITS OR OBITUARIES ON THIS PAGE. PLEASE CLICK THE MEMORIAL EDIT TAB AND SEND IT THAT WAY. IF YOU LEAVE IT HERE, IT WILL BE DELETED AND IGNORED.
A NOTE ABOUT HEADSTONE TRANSCRIPTION SECTION: I do not add them unless they are hard to read on the headstone photo. If the word wife, husband, child, daughter, son, brother, sister, etc is CLEARLY seen on the headstone, I will not add it to the memorial and will decline the edits submitted for it. It's not a necessary item. The most important information will be added. Thank you.
Note about the Edit selections: FROM NOW ON!!!!!....I will NOT accept ANY edit until I have researched what is sent. To make the edits faster, emailing me the information at the same time would make it easier to know WHERE the information is coming from and this includes FAMILY LINKS.
If you do send an edit, I will do research before I post the edits. I may accept or decline your edits. Please be sure to READ the email that is sent you from findagrave telling you if your edit has been approved or declined. If it has been declined, READ the reason why in your email. When an edit is declined we have to choose from a drop down menu as to why the decline is being made so the email will reflect this and at times I will put more information in with the decline. You may at times be asked to provide where you found the information, especially for the most recent deaths where information is not as easy to confirm.
FYI: Ancestry.com and FAMLY TREES are NOT a source! Ancestry.com is only a location where you can put your family tree.
Documented sources are Birth and Death records/indexes, census for some of the information, military records, obituaries, etc. Newer deaths (21st century) are harder to find documentation online so please submit your source with your edit as it would be greatly appreciated.

|William Kirk||RE: Jackie Kirk|
That is so very kind of you. Thank you so much.
|William Kirk||Jackie Kirk|
Thank you so much for adding a photo and info on my cousin, Jackie Kirk. My family history has been quite challenging and have only recently been able to track down the answers to many mysteries. His father, my uncle, John Kirk, is also buried at Montrose Cemetery, and I hope one day to view his final resting place and Jackie's in person and pay my respects. Again, I am very grateful to you for the fantastic work that you do.
|Mary Gale Rogers||RE: Knud Olson Oppen|
Thank you. I knew the information was from another person. Maybe I'll go through all my articles about him and condense the story...quite interesting.
Thank you again!

I'm sorry I thought my message was attached to the picture. The last name was Veprek and it was Alois and Vlasta. We decided to stay home and do yard work, this weekend, so we'll be going sometime the end of July. Even having a section would put us in the right direction. Would you mind if I add GPS coordinates to your picture when I get there? Again, I can't thank you enough for all your are doing.
|Olin E. Hartley||RE: Sackett from Rose Hill in Chicago|
Thank you very much for the Sackett transfers. I really appreciate you doing this for me. It means even more since I didn't ask you to do this.
|Judy||Ryan, Dunivan & Bender|
Thank you for being so generous in transfering the memorials to me. They have already provided info for me and I can fill in several blanks on my tree.

Thank you for posting the beautiful picture of my great grandparents headstone. My aunt and I will be going to the cemetery this weekend and would like to locate the stone. You have a reference number but does it reference the location?
Thank you again for your wonderful work. It is appreciated by many
