I am currently the caretaker of Shady Grove Cemetery in Hardin County (near Saltillo) and a member of the Board of Directors of the Shady Grove Cemetery Association whose purpose is to accept and manage donations to take care of the cemetery by way of mowing, cleaning and various improvements as we are able to afford them. Being the third generation of my family who have been "caretakers" for Shady Grove, I take the responsibility seriously and learn anything I can about the people buried here. Always looking for graves of people known to be buried here, but have only a field stone marker or no marker at all. I have the most extensive records that I am aware of on the cemetery, but always researching for more through networking with other researchers and descendants.|

Thank you Roger for connecting her memorial to Matt's. I have deleted the one I made. I checked the Mt. Vernon Cem. in Dyer County and there are no other Find A Grave memorials for Hanna's listed there. I will have to research if Edna and the children are possibly buried there but no one has made a memorial for any of them. Not much time to do this research. JC ;)

Roger, what a wonderful thing you and Bob McWilliams have done and are doing at Shady Grove Cemetery!! You make the grave markers?! Well, they sure look nice! Do you sell them? I didn't see a price on your site. If I lived anywhere close, there would be several I would want.
I didn't realize I had created a duplicate for Lola until I changed her name from Meadows to Meadors and linked it to her parents. Her parents tombstone shows Meadows - I wonder which is correct. His census records show Meadors but his draft card, death certificate and those of his children show Meadows like the tombstone. ???

Roger, thank you for the photo for the grave of Lola in Shady Grove Cemetery #02. The marker shows Meadors, not Meadows and death date as 1912, not 1922 as other records have shown. So, I need to do more research on this. I notice that the marker looks fairly new. Do you have records showing when it was placed and/or any other information about it? I would like to get it correct on the memorial.

I am currently doing family research and my 3x great grandmother is buried at Mount Zion Cemetery. I looked on find a grave and found a picture you posted of her grave stone. I noticed you work at another cemetery and I am not sure of the connection, if there is one, to my family. Are you related to Agnes Meek Finley 1817-1878?

Roger.....I wanted to put a message on your bio page thanking you for making it possible for me to make the memorials for John and Rebecca Hanna. Their memorials have become so special to several people now, including a new Hanna cousin who contacted me recently. If you check the memorials you will see a new picture of the Hanna cabin. Without your expertise and help these would never have been possible. I will always be grateful for your kindness to me. I have no email at this point Your Forever Friend ; )
