I am quite happy to make any corrections to memorials I have created or managed. However, as a serious genealogy researcher I am a firm believer in documentation/records to prove facts and a relationship.
There is too much information being distributed over and over among online trees and sites like FindAGrave because some people do not verify facts with their own research. These "facts" are perpetuated exponentially until people see them enough and believe they must be true.
If you ask me to make a correction, please be prepared to cite a source record in your message to me. My intent is not to be rigid and I realize there are ways of proving a fact beyond an official record and I will do my best to accommodate a request with the data given to me.
If you are not a member of FindAGrave and are a visitor that sends me a correction, please include your active email address in the "Edit" message so if I have questions I can contact you directly. Any correction request that I am unable to contact the requester will not be honored.
Enjoy finding your ancestors and dive into that research, it's very rewarding to verify and prove the facts and know your family tree will be accurate and backed up by documentation.

You're welcome. Brett was my grandfather and I knew Bonnie.
|Richard Friend||RE: Edward M Coe|
Good morning Michelle,
Mary Jane Nelson and Martha Virginia Nelson were two of my Great Aunts and one of their other sisters, Margaret Ellen Nelson was my 2nd Great Grandmother. She is also buried there in the Coe cemetery close by her sister Martha Virginia Nelson Coe and Edward M Coe. I personally visited the cemetery several years ago. My Mother's family is all from that part of Missouri. I am like you, glad to know I have another distant cousin on my Mother's side.

Your welcome if like I could transfer memorial
Twelve Civil War veterans added to virtual cemetery list. Interesting reading. LEE
|Jeffry||memorial for James Janney|
My connection is to Johnathan Janney whose second marriage was to my ancestor Orleana Long.
I believe the information for Jonathan's father, James Janney is correct, with the probable exception of the gravestone picture and military information. I know little for certain of James' military experience and there may be some confusion with the son. That information should be transferred to JW Janney memorial owned by Michelle Pendleton.
I will remove the military info. If I remove the gravestone picture before it is transferred it will be lost.

Thanks for his Civil War service information! I added it to his memorial.
|Richard Friend||Edward M Coe|
I just realized that both Martha and Mary Jane Nelson of course were Sisters and were both wives of Edward with many children each. They were both my 2nd Great Grand Aunts.

Thank you for the information on his Civil War service. I have input all the information you provided in the "Bio" section of his memorial if you would like to take a look. I did show your name as the provider of the information. Mary Jane Nelson, his wife, was my 2nd Great Grand Aunt and her father, Robert Nelson, was my 3rd Great Grandfather. When you look at the memorial, you will also see that another person added an entire page of very detailed information, but did not show their name.

Hi Michelle. If you send edits using the proper Find - A - Grave procedures and the creator of the memorial doesn't respond after 30 days, send the edits to email@example.com and they'll do it. I had trouble with a woman who refused to respond to my requests and Find - A - Grave took care of them within a few days.

Someone caught an error on my part, in that I too have a listing for "Bill" on Find A Grave, but I had him in IL not MO. While mine was in 2011 and your in 2012, I am taking mine down, since you have more data on yours than I have on mine. Keep Shouse researching.
