I am a direct decendent of William Capling and Barbara (Wildfong) Capling who immigrated to Canada and then the United States from England in the mid 1800's. Recent (August 2010) DNA tests on my paternal line confirm the Caplin's British Isles ancestry and English ethnicity (for the pragmatism). Mom's side of the Family (Coughlin, Evans, McCormick) provides the Irish (the passion). . .a potent combination! I am the last of James Capling (1846-1914) and Laura Platt's line. I am looking for any information on James Capling and his activities during his last years in Wolverine, Michigan during the time period of aprox. 1895 - 1900. Please contact me if you have any information or questions. My wife Nadene (Berryhill) and I currently live in the Seattle, Washington area as of 2013. We are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and avid family history nuts. I would like to hear from Yeager Family decendents. I also decend from the Sutliffs of Michigan on my Father's side and from the Corys (of Salem Witchcraft fame) and Sauvains on my Mother's side. I Would also like to hear from members of these families as well. I am also looking for decendents of Henry and Matilda (Wildfong) Caplin of Detroit, Michigan, and/or decendents of their three Children Arthur Charles, Frederick Aaron and Irene Caplin. I was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1949. Thank you.|

Thank you for your generous offer. I do very little writing. I have a bio written, but it needs to be edited just haven't had the time. I would like you to read it, but it is too large to post on your page. May I send it to your email?
As a professional writer I am sure you would do better with some of the grammar and I would love for you to re-write it. I believe this story deserves to be told in the best way possible.

My only connection to Kid McCoy (Norman Selby)was through the research on James Bernard Holohan who was a state senator of California and serviced as warden of San Quentin prison. I wrote his bio and he is on find-a-grave memorial # 97814058

No, Larry, I didn't know the La Noue family except through their in-laws the Humphrey folks.
Thank you for making the adjustments.

Very nice write up on Elizabeth Kenny. Fyi - her current fame rating is 4.00. Six more ratings needed to show on her memorial. Good luck with your quest, from a friend of Tom.

Sir, you are a gentleman and I now regret my rather abrupt and snotty response to your remarks. To be truthful, I had never heard of Ms. Kenny until recently when I was doing some gen-research for one of my nieces. It turned out that her father - whom she never knew - had received the "Kenny treatments" for his polio to good effect. Here is his memorial. It was when I did a search for Kenny's Find A Grave page that I "discovered" the duplicates. I would have preferred to employ the HTML hyperlink to her memorial but, since there were two of them, I decided to link instead to her Wikipedia page. But, yes, she definitely should be designated as "famous" and it's a wonder why she's not. I assume that you indicated that when you created her page in 2012. Good luck in your quest to do the right thing for this lady. Tom

My interest in this matter? I don't like duplicates. And neither do the Find A Grave administrators. End of story. And you have a great year. Tom

I will have to look-up & see if any of the (7) listed Male BELL's in the Gladwin Online Obituary Index might be the father. You can see the Index thru the Gladwin County Genealogical Webpage at: www.gcgsmichigan.org
Currently, I'm looking up & inserting several GCG obituaries in the Butman Cemetery. I will make a note to do the BELL surname & hope this will lead to additional information.
