|Bio and Links|
I was born in the Midwest, but have lived most of my life in the south. I was stationed in Germany for a time, and have otherwise done a little travel to Europe and Asia. I spend far too much time on the computer, enjoy a good frappuccino, and I ♥LOVE♥ cats.|
My primary family names are Sullivan, McCoy, Withee, Fredendall, Washburn, Nesbit, Schmidt, Petersen, Meyer (Meier), Markman, Pease, Millikan, Donnan, and still counting.
I view the memorials on this site as living tributes to our loved ones. I strive to "reunite" them with family, and if I am able, to add a personal detail or two about them.
You are welcome to use any photos which I have uploaded for your personal family research work, but please do not use them for commercial purposes. The photos I upload are intended as gifts for the families of the deceased with no regard for personal profit, with the exception of the honor of providing them, and I wish for this to be respected.
We are allotted 20 photo requests per week. I am requesting for everyone to please use your allotment. Memorials you manage, memorials I manage ~ it doesn't matter.
Headstone photos may assist in providing confirmation of birth and death details, marriage dates, children, spellings, and might even lead to the discovery of additional family members.
Requests fulfillments also provide a small reward to our volunteers who often drive several miles to obtain a photo. I have so often seen where someone will request a photo, and then ask for the volunteer to take a photo of their spouse too, without submitting the request for the additional photo. Why?
It's much easier to request 20 photos in a cemetery that it is for the volunteer to drive out, take them, edit them, caption them, and post them. While I do try to get other family near the one requested in case they are not already listed, it is nice if you also request them, so please take the time to request them and please try to remember to use your weekly allotment.
Suggestions, Corrections, and Transfers
I generally adhere to Find A Grave transfer request guidelines, but before requesting, please keep in mind that even a "starter" memorial involves effort to create and I am more than willing to accomplish edits. Also, if a transfer or edit request comes off as pushy, arrogant, demanding, or rude, do not be surprised if you are ignored.
This site was created as a means of helping others, and not intended as a means to criticize, harass, bully or badger. Be kind to your fellow volunteers as we are all trying to achieve the same goal of helping others.

|Cheryl Hanson||Thank You - Nora Lester|
Thank you for getting back to me. I don't usually take other people's trees as a source unless they are documented. I had looked at her obit but it did not list a middle name. I decided to try one other source, her husband's obit. She was listed in it as Nora Frances. I manually adjusted your edit to reflect this spelling which is how females usually spell it.
Thank you for helping me. I hope you have a great day.

I try to verify all edits and I have not been able to find primary documentation for Nora's middle name of Francis as you submitted.
Can you please send your source for this information? You can send it through her memorial under suggest any other correction.

And I spelled it wrong. lol You can find her records on Family Search . born 1851 died Oct 16 1869. (she was 18 I think. anyway a baby boy died also) When I was at the cemetery (great records there) they had no one to help find their grave as a big funeral was on its way . Not may stone in the very old part I guess. As far as I could search I didn't find ANY of my Lynch family stones but must had gotten information on Cemetery computer.
Find A Grave Memorial# 55134273 this is John Lynch memorial. I want to go back there someday for better search! Plot: W 1/2 Lot 83 Section OLD 1st from South Line this is the area the other lynch family is buried.
I just looked into the Howe family this week so that is why I commented. The Lynch family way back when was a hard path to put together. Especially son John. Oh, Family search again marriage Dec 2 1868.
Glad to help. Let me know what you may find

If you call Elmwood Cemetery and Mausoleum at 708- 453-0273 and:
1. Ask if your photo request person has a headstone / grave marker.
2. If there is a headstone / grave marker ask for the section, block, lot and grave number.
3. If you send that information to me, Susan (#48964989) I will go there and fulfill your photo request. Of course any other Find A Grave volunteer can also fulfill your request if you then add the headstone location information to your photo request page.
