Bio and Links
Bio Photo In my genealogical research whenever I come cross a veteran of a war I check to see if he/she has a FAG memorial whether they are my ancestors or not. If there is not a memorial I create one if the burial location is known. If there is an existing memorial but military service is missing or scanty I do a bit of research and request the info be added to the veteran's bio. These brave veterans contributed much to the history of their country and to our freedom. It is very rewarding to remember these fine patriots.

"It is a thing of no small importance to possess the relics of our ancestors, to practice the same sacred rites and to be buried at their side." -Cicero

Houghton Family in Westminster West Cemetery
I'd really like to thank you for entering the Houghton family into Find a Grave. I grew up in Westminster West, helped the Sexton keep the grass mowed in the Cemetery when I was a kid, and grew up in the Houghton family house.

It has been great fun exploring the census records and seeing names of neighbors, children of neighbors and names I recognize from hanging out in the cemetery.

Thanks so much

Pam Weitzel posted this headstone photo, so you will have to contact her and ask her to delete it. This website will not allow you to remove photos other people have posted.

RE: Noah Eaton #28743042
Star, the grave stone photo on this memorial needs to be deleted. It is for Noah's son Silas Eaton and wife Mary Nichols. It is hard to read but can be made out. I have put the photo on Silas' & Mary's memorial with photographer Pam Weitzel's permission. Kindly delete the photo from Noah's memorial.

I think that your idea on veterans on Find A Grave is great. I sort of do the same with Civil War Vets. My wife and I usually photograph entire cemeteries and I submit Civil War Vets to Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. Most of them in this part of the country (Nebraska)are already done. Do find one every now and then. Thanks for info on Henry Miller(my great grandfather) I had that info, but just have never added it. I also added some more that I had. If you ever need any info on Miller of Millers Mill area, I can try to help. Thanks again Ir Miller

Per Henry(#64881146)and and Lana(#64881148)Miller original family Births, Deaths, and Marriages record(I have a copy and the original in my possession)it shows that Margaret was born to Henry and Lana Miller, not Jonas and Elizabeth. There Margaret was born abt 1812 and married a John Filson. It show that Margaret was born on the 2nd of March 1799 and died in childbirth on the 5th of June 1830. She also needs to be connected to her parents Henry and Lanah. Thank you, Irv Miller #47749375
