Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a future resident of The Great Mausoleum of Forest Lawn, in Glendale, California. My niche (20817) faces W.C. Fields in the Columbarium of Nativity. I used to leave flowers for my Mother and W.C. every other week until Michael Jackson and his fans moved onto the premises, lol. I enjoy the history and art of cemeteries, and photographing them. This was my first statue, "The Butterfly Baby", by Bruno Pattorino. It sits in the Columbarium of Security on Gardenia Terrace of the Great Mausoleum. [Click on this photo to enlarge]. I also have an original statue of "Cupid's Choice" by Donatello Gabbrielli in the Hall of Inspiration (Holly Terrace) that is adjacent to the Columbarium of Nativity where my Mom is inurned and where I will be with her one day. I also have a bronze statue of "The Rising Sun" by Adolph Weinman in the Columbarium of Sanctuaries next to The Last Supper stained glass window on Memorial Terrace, Court of Honor. I recently purchased my fourth statue (marble) of "Little Friends" by Pietro Bazanti, (on Holly Terrace), and dedicated it to my late neighbor and friend, LaVonne Rose Potter. It stands in the Sanctuary of Redemption atop the grand staircase leading from The Last Supper stained glass window up to my niche in the Columbarium of Nativity (Holly Terrace). (Click on all photos on Mom's site to enlarge and to get descriptive text).

David, A number of years ago I would take random photos in the GM (before MJ) and on several trips I took one of your Mom's tablet. It always seem to catch my eye and recall each time being greeted by her beautiful smile! What a nice tribute you have given her. I was looking for a Margaret Smith at FLG and typed in Mar Smith and I was delighted to see that smile. This is the first time I actually read what was written and realized it was not just a rewrite of an obit but so very touching and special. I love the poem!

Respectfully yours,

James

Marvin Gay father
I have been SO curious as to where Marvin Gaye's father is buried, since Holy Cross say he is not there, that I made a trip to the county registrar's office this morning and looked up his death certificate. I now know where he really is buried and went to it today. I want to tell you and then you can change the memorial. Should I send you another message here??

Patrick Dennis Burial Loction
Hi,
Found some information on Patrick's Burial location. According to gayinfluence.blogspot.com Patrick was cremated and placed next to his wife Louise in St.James Cemetery in Stoneybrook,Long Island. She is listed in Find A Grave but sadly they do not have a headstone just lot a lot number so in order to see where they are interred you would have to go by that.Hope this helps.

Georgiana Louise Hoagland, FAG Mem. # 107572729, Plot: Cypress Terrace, Lot 95-1
Dear David, I am a member of Find A Grave (#48189046). I've just read your information and thought perhaps you would want to help me. Georgiana and I are cousins - her mother, Louise Hoagland, was my aunt (my father's sister). Louise is buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Hlwd. Hills).
The last picture of Georgiana's marker was taken March 30, 2013 by Romper90069 (James R. Mason).
The marker lies on the ground and had grass coming up the sides and on the front of it. I contacted James, I believe it was Oct. 14th. He responded to me today, October 16th, advising that he took 700 photos in Forest Lawn Mem. Park (Glendale) yesterday. He said he does not mind if someone else brings the photo up-to-date. Do you think you could possibly do this?
I would not ask you, except for the fact that I live in east Texas, close to Shreveport, LA.
Georgiana's father, George, is still living - he is 95. I would be very happy to be able to
send him a new picture of his baby's marker.
The marker shows just the date of 4/10/1944. She was born 4/09/1944. She was their only child.
I thank you very much,
Charlotte Johnson Kelley

Thank you! That made me cry. I totally appreciate it. You didn't have to do that but I appreciate it so much.
