I am from Cheverly, MD my husband is from the UK~|
I am of Scots/Irish/English/Scand decent. I found this site just by surfing on~ What a wonderful way to list your family that has passed on and to be able to show respect to many others and their families~ I am always searching my roots, have had my DNA completed twice to find my gene pool is all from England, Scotland, Ireland, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland for over 55k years. I knew my family was Swedes and Scots with a mix of English/Irish. So its been a real thrill to find all this information confirmed thru DNA~

I see you have marked the grave of John Wesley Penn as your family. I would love to talk to you more! I believe he bought one of my ancestors in Maryland from Scotland in 1716.
|Carolyn H Sturgill||RE: William Day|
I'm glad you are putting the time into it. I have tried for a year to find William Day's parents John and Susan I didn't have her last name. He was born in Maryland. He died in Letcher County Kentucky July 17, 1856.
How did you manage to put this all together. Through Ancestry.com and other sources or just Ancestry.com? Is this a hobby or a real job?
|Carolyn H Sturgill||William Day|
I am so happy to have found your site. I am a descendent of William Day who died (listed as born in Maryland) in July 17, 1856 in Letcher County, Kentucky. I have looked and looked and had just about given up hope of find out where John and Susan Day were from. Thanks so much for sharing.

I noticed that you added that Sarah Wilcox's maiden name was Boone and her parents were Henry Boone and Susan Goldsmith. I'm wondering where you found that. Barnabas and Sarah were my 9th-great-grandparents.

I just stumbled onto your message today and I see you also are a Day descendant.
I think that this is a great site and is an awesome archive for folks that like family history.
Since we are descendants of Matthew Day we must be connected some way.
Perhaps when you get some time to chat you can call and we will share info.
