Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in Ardmore, Carter Co, OK where my husband jokingly says that I thought Noah's Ark had landed.

For thirty plus years I have been involved in genealogy. When my mother died, she left some notes about a few ancestors she had uncovered and hoped I would continue her research. That was the hook-in-the-jaw that changed my life. I only regret that I have missed out on so many years that I could have used. Alas, all those family stories that went in one ear and out the other, and all those family members who took so much information to the grave with them.

I am, however, thankful for the tools that are now available and for FindAGrave, a platform that I have spent many hours gaining from and contributing to.

If I have created a memorial for a member your family, who isn't related to me, and YOU CAN ADD INFORMATION TO THEIR BIO (not just family links), I will be glad to transfer it to you. However, many have received a transfer/transfers & have never added anything. This isn't fair to kin who may come along later who can do so.

An exception to the above are my Bell, Dodson, & Love ancestors and kin, most of whom have numerous descendants. Much of the information contained in their memorials is the result of many years of tedious research, and as new information comes to light, I would like to be able to make those changes. For these memorials please follow FindAGrave guidelines for transfers.

Instructions for ALL REQUESTS for corrections, additional information, or transfers:

1. Go to the memorial page, which has an "Edit" tab located on the upper right side of the memorial.
2. Click on the "Edit" tab, then click on the Suggest a correction or provide additional information link, which opens a message page.
3. Type in your message.

Making a request this way insures that no mistakes are made, because it takes me to the exact memorial.

Thanks for your understanding.

You're very's always a wonderful feeling to be able to help provide a person's accomplishments to their memorial if I am able. My oldest brother went to school with Charles' daughter, Charlene. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! ~Joni

Thank you again for the transfer and taking such good care of Charles' & Hattie's memorials. They had one child that died before 1900, so no direct descendants.

RE: James & Susa Kiser
The sad part is that there are about 12 adult burials with no marker and not even a fieldstone. One can tell by the sunken earth. The 12 are all in a neat orderly row, and I doubt that anyone living would know who they are. Another problem is that these small family cemeteries are often called several different names on death records, so death records cannot even be reliably used to know who might be buried there. I sure wish I could complete the cemetery, but the 12 unknowns will remain unknown I fear. Perhaps I will do more exploring to find the nearby Grizzle and Couch Cemeteries when the bears hibernate. James & Susa Kiser
I posted new gravestone photos and they are readable. It's amazing what good strong sunlight and perhaps a different camera makes. I left the old photo of James stone so you can compare. I retook the whole cemetery while I was there. No bears showed up.
