Having been a beta tester for the new EDIT system, it's great so far! Yes, there are concerns and comments but overall, those who have been using it have found this new system to be fast, efficient and a much better way to complete updates than the former email system. Am able to handle dozens of updates in a matter of minutes now instead of hours.|
Hunting down Gerberichs & all variants of the spelling. Burials with the sheaf of wheat logo in the flower section are descendants of Hans Gerberich from Altfeld, now in Germany, the surname translating to "rich in sheaths". (Still have thousands to find and add!)
I now strictly adhere to the Find A Grave guidelines regarding transfers. No exceptions. Requests made that fall outside of the guidelines, or do not state relationship, are no longer being acknowledged. Virtual cemeteries are the way to "gather" your ancestors together.
Please don't justify an out-of-guideline transfer request for the sake of adding links and/or other information. Am perfectly capable of doing this, especially now with the new EDIT system - much quicker than transferring.
Copy-and-paste census, military and other data is not a "bio". Don't bother sending it because it will not be added.
Finally, I will NOT add a link to a burial unknown memorial. This site is named Find a GRAVE for a reason. Not a difficult concept.

I created this memorial for my Grandmother, but when I went to look for her in my list, she was t there. However, I located it by typing in her name and I found that your name was listed as so done who created this memorial. So, I believe that this should belong to me. Please transfer this memorial back to me. Thank you very much.

Apparently you don't wish to make transfers to people not related. I'm sorry about that as this man was my neighbor and he used to give us rides when we worked in 1955.
Would you please look at the entry I made before I found yours including attaching him to his wife and parents? Also include his OBIT? Then I will delete mine and add my flowers after you let me know it's done.

|Janet Muff||Policing my memorials|
Are you specifically policing my memorials to identify and correct occasions where I've used the term "Unknown"?
To receive eight corrections in a few hours from different families in different cemeteries makes me think that you must be. And if so, then why? Why is it so important to police other people's activities? It's one thing to run across something and ask for a correction, but another thing to get on a mission about it.
Frankly, I find it very disturbing. Not that I'm invested in keeping the "Unknown" terminology, but that someone else would be so invested in eradicating it.
In any case, I'd appreciate a personal response so that I can understand what you're doing.
Hi, we were wondering if you could transfer Lucy Almira Bailey # 12808863 to us as she is my husbands great grandmother.

I see they great picture you posted of her and I thought this one should be with you.
I must say, that is the reason I like taking pictures and not just go by Cemetery records as you always find a lot of folks that was not recorded..
Still have about 35-40 thousand more pictures to post for the Wayne county cemetery's..
Have a Wonderful day

She was very attractive and thank you for noticing. She was my grandmother and my mother recalls how much she disliked being called Mary. I will ask my mother tomorrow how the name May came about.--Rebecca
