I have been doing genalogy and family history since I was 16. I also study the meaning of surnames, but my interest in heraldry is really what got me started. I have done extensive work on my wife's family, as well. Principal names of interest include Middleton, Stogdill, See and Allen. My wife's families are Bidstrups, Nelsons, Greenes and Fords. I was born in Centerville, Iowa and grew up in Independence, Missouri. I have lots of relatives who lived in Schuyler and Scotland Counties in Missouri and Appanoose and Davis Counties in Iowa. I live in San Antonio, Texas. | |

 | RE: Farris headstone photos Hi Phil...it's been raining here off and on all day so the stone photo may not be as clear as it could be. I will make another effort on a sunny day and perhaps it will be better! Nancy | | | eddiemac45

You are more than welcome.

 | RE: Max Smothers I am happy to do it for you. Sorry it took so long but snow slowed me down. This cemetery is a wooded hillside so the snow (and later mud) lingers in some areas. I never want to leave footprints. | | | Shari C. Stogdill
 | Jesse Stogdill Phil; Shari sent me your note for me to answer. You are right, Jesse is buried in Freetown Cemetery. I don't understand where she got Trigg County, Kentucky, except she may be confusing Jesse with Samuel, his brother, who has a memorial gravestone in Freetown Cemetery but is buried elsewhere. Thanks for your input and I will correct the information as soon as I can. Norvile ndstogdill@yahoo.com

 | Joe Middleton, Hi Phil, I was wondering if you might be interested in writing a paragraph or two explaining exactly where Joe, and his wife are buried... That way, I can just copy it from your memorial for his wife.. The headstones you photoed sure look like they were in a cemetery... Thank-you, sir, for your headsup and diligence in this matter, RAINBOLT Family Historian, R S Feigh | | | Tyler

 | RE: Elizabeth Calhoun Nelson please go to the edit button and use that way to the memorial to request corrections or transfers. | | | grandmacarol
 | RE: Granville Bidstrup No problem. We all have problems from time to time. | | | grandmacarol
 | Granville Bidstrup I'm sorry, but I cannot make that link. A link is made from the child to the parent, rather than from parent to child.
So you just need to go to Perry's page, click on Edit beside Family links and the page should open to allow you to link him to his father. | | | | [View all messages...] |
