I live in San Francisco where I have been working on my family tree for many years. My paternal grandfather was born in Michigan where his family migrated in 1836 from New York.|

I fixed but the subscription is free you just have to sign up for it. The newspapers on there are searchable and if you have any relations from in or around Radford or Pulaski County, it's a great resource. Denise<><

It is a shame about the stones, however, I believe they could be cleaned, so hopefully they are not ruined. Thanks for the "thank you". Always very much appreciated.

Here is the Memorial number for William Budd Gould, John and Merenda's son,112415497. I have the most info on William Budd Gould. I also have that 'Jack' Gould's parents were Dr. David Gould and Catharine Budd. I got that off a genforum comment of Jane Stigleman 21 Jan 1999, which said it came from family papers. I have no further proof, but I think it is probably correct since the name of Budd is found down my family line. I looked at Reubin's memorial and while I don't see any obvious connections the area and time frame certainly fit. However, I haven't done a lot of work on the Goulds either. I'm going to send an email with an unknown Lockport picture; maybe you'd recognize it. Wouldn't that be a delight!

I'll give you a bit more info to make the job easier. John Jr., was the son of John 'Jack' Gould and Elizabeth Luttz. They came from NJ to Lockport, NY area. John Jr married Merenda Bridge and I think she is the daughter of Benjamin Bridge and Mariam Miller. John and Merenda had 10 children. My 3rd gr grandmother, Fanny, was a sister to Merenda. I have autograph books with Gould signatures in them and at least one picture of Goulds - William Bud Gould, their 2nd son.

I have been thinking of you all almost daily. I forget what the chat room was called and keep forgetting to Google to try to find you all. I was covered in some 2 dozen ticks, my pup, Kaiya, got abt 4 dozen while trying to find this cemetery. A lady mislead me, intentionally or not, idk, so we wandered for 2 hrs and aft seeing we was covered in ticks is when I decided to leave and found the cemetery. I may go back with a shovel and pesticide and try to dip up some head/foot stones that must be buried there but not any time soon. We still have awful weather, got snow 2 days ago. My cousin, Terry Akin, took the original photos. She has since passed away unexpectedly, think in 2011, because she was suppose to come back to the state, believe 2012, and we was to meet. And my Sarcoidosis is active again, got sick 4 months ago. Four new nodules in each lung but I'm doing well enough.
Take care my friend and tell everyone I said hi esp Cathy. I have been finding a lot of Sherman/Shearman's. Oh, just found a Patience Sherman/Shearman who divorced a David Wordell, he is buried in Rufus E Wordell Cemetery, Westport. I haven't found her, she must have remarried as she was still young. It is her parent's that are buried in this cemetery.
