I was born in 1946 in the small riverside village of Farran's Point, Ontario,Canada located along the St. Lawrence River in the County of Stormont. In 1958 nine villages (including Farran's Point) and were flooded (St. Lawrence Seaway Power Project)and residents of those villages were relocated to the new communities of Long Sault and Ingleside. I moved to Alberta in 1971. I've been researching the history of my family for 13 years and stumbled on this website in 2012. A wonderful discovery. If you find a Memorial of a relative of yours that was added by me and would like me to transfer it to you, I would be happy to. If you are a Canadian and would like some help finding ancestors I am willing to help out.
Carline M Copland Just letting you know that Carline was not married to William Stephenson Drury. He was married to my aunt, Lucy Evans. She died in 1977 in Delta, BC and I'm not sure if her remains were sent up to the Yukon or not. Their son Tom did die on the Selkirk River in 1933. His other son, William Lawrence died in Sechelt, BC in 2009 and his daughter Mary Alice Poulton died in Duncan, BC in 1987.
Hugh Graveley. 153821178 Hugh's tombstone says "Hugh Kevin, son of Hugh and Joan". Winifred is listed as wife on tombstone. Joan is listed on memorial as his daughter. Wonder if she (Joan) is his second 2nd wife?
