mortui vivos docent: the living learn from the dead

"There be of them, that have left a name behind them, that their praises might be reported...And some there be, which have no memorial; who are perished, as though they had never been; and are become as though they had never been born; and their children after them." -- Apocrypha: Sirach Chapter 44 (aka Ecclesiaticus), 2nd century B.C.

Every soul's story deserves to be remembered by as many people as possible for as long as possible, whether a life story or a mere scrap of information about what they looked like or who they loved. As long as someone remembers the departed, they are still "alive."

Thank you for the correction, I have deleted the duplicate record. I must have been seen a squirrel or something then added it a second time. Thanks again!

What a nice thank you. It was a very well manicured, well maintained cemetery.

Would you believe I had lunch with her sister this week in Greeley, Iowa? Her name is Barbara Stock.

Williams cemetery
Glad to be of help. I am planning on photographing all of the Williams cemetery and then probably Landers cemetery and Patterson cemetery. It would probably be a lot easier if it wasn't so hot and humid. lol

Moody Oliver Fossett
Billy, Ben and Corene are all in the same area as a Moody Oliver Fossett. I do not remember this gentleman and his wife. I know Bunk was Ben's brother, who is at Memory Hill, but not sure about this one. Will have to ask family.
