RE: of Course I mind transferring
Its OK if you don't transfer. It is more important to me that the parents are linked. And I do appreciate the amount of work that goes into collecting and uploading all the information you do. And I thank you!

RE: hi
I do not like to put a stone on for a living person. But I saw Erma today and got her permission to post the stone.

Field of Mars Cemetery
The Field of Mars Cemetery was proclaimed on 3 December 1887. The name “Field of Mars” was given by Governor Phillip when he granted land to eight first fleet marines in 1792. There are several theories as to the origin of the name - all with military connections. The areas where these grants were are now known as Ermington and Melrose Park. However, the name was later applied to a wider district and in 1804 Governor King set aside 5050 acres as a Field of Mars Common for all the settlers. It was later found to be more than 6000 acres. When the Field of Mars Common was subdivided and privatised, 85 acres 2 roods and 28 perches were set aside as a cemetery. More than half that area was later converted into the Field of Mars Flora and Fauna Reserve. The Macquarie Park Cemetery was also originally part of the Field of Mars Common.

RE: thank you
I'm happy to be of help! I have posted the photograph of the entire stone to both Smith and Harold S. Fuller. The next time I am in the cemetery I'll take close-up photos of the inscriptions for Smith and Harold and add them as well. I noticed that they are not all linked; I am sure that Anne Cady (who made the memorial for Smith) would be happy to transfer that to you so you could make that link. Anne Cady has inventoried and photographed nearly every cemetery in St. Lawrence County. I was looking for nine different people in a fairly small cemetery today; after an hour I'd found two. I felt very lucky! I still have my list, though, and will make a note to get those detail pictures.
