Bio Photo The movie, "It's a Wonderful Life," has a great scene where George Bailey wishes he had never been born. His wish is granted by his guardian angel, and he finds himself at the headstone of his brother Harry. George's guardian angel tells him, "Harry broke through the ice and died at the age of nine." George angrily reply, "That's a lie! Harry went to war, got the Congressional Medal of Honor, and saved the lives of every man on that transport." But Clarence explains, "Every man on that transport died. Harry was not there to save them because you were not there to save Harry. Strange, isn't it? Each life touches so many other lives." (Contributor Larry Barnes.)

"The reality is that you will grieve forever. You do not get over losing a loved one, but you learn to live with it. You heal and rebuild around the losses you suffer. You may be whole, but you will never be the same. Nor should you be. Nor would you want to be!" (Elizabeth Kubler Ross)

We thought of you with love today, but that was nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday and days before that too.
We think of you in silence and sometimes speak your name.
Now all we have is memories like pictures in a frame.
Your life is now a keepsake with which we'll never part.
God with you in His keeping; us with you in our heart.

RE: Lou Arave
I need more information. My sister's family is Arave, but does that have anything to do with Luren Spencer? What is Lauren's Find A Grave memorial number?

I dropped a note to the funeral home of whom did her service & asked if they perhaps knew where she was laid to rest.I know that both of her parents are here in South Dakota @ Black Hills National Cemetery.Maybe she was cremated & is w/her beloved family ?

Have a great week-end & thanx's again,

Vernon M. Davis
I searched everywhere online for a document that showed Vernon's middle name. If you have a document with Miller rather than Milton like the history, please let me know. I would like to have the name listed correctly. Is his middle name listed on the marriage record? Thanks so much!

Margaret Ann Miller & Alma Charles Davis family photo
I do have this photo. In fact this is the version that I edited and added the slightly better quality photo of Alma Charles Davis to the lower left corner.

Here is my description for the photo,, which you should probably add to the photo on findagrave:

Margaret Ann Miller and Alma Charles Davis Family - Circa 1908-1910. Photo was taken after Alma Charles Davis died in 1903, so his photo was inserted in the lower left corner when this photo was published in the James Miller Family History, compiled and edited by Nell Creer Frame in 1967. (Note: I replaced the photo of Alma Charles Davis with a crop from a scan of the original photo) Front Row L-R: Lilly Byrl Davis and Vernon Milton Davis. Middle Row seated L-R: Letitia Ann Davis Lant, James Miller Davis, Margaret Ann Miller Davis, Alma Charles Davis Jr, and Margaret Davis Hansen. Back Row L-R: Mary Ellen Davis Evans, Wilma Davis, Howard Lewis Davis, and Farrel Christine Davis. John Archibald Davis died in 1900 and Jane Elizabeth Davis died as an infant in 1891. I am trying to identify the family members by ages and existing photos, so please correct me if I have the wrong photo attached to somebody. Thanks!

Vern Davis
You asked me if I was related to Vern Davis. It turns out that my husband and son are related to the Davis family. My husband was adopted, but through DNA tests (and confirmed by an aunt) we found out that his mother was Margaret Alene Davis. Alene is the daughter of Howard Lewis Davis, who is a brother of Vernon Milton Davis. So Vern Davis is my husband's great uncle.

Also interesting to find out that his mother, Alene Davis was born in Idaho Falls which is where I was born and raised.

Please let me know if you have any photos of Vern and Eva. Thanks!
