From Larry Barnes: "Any biography falls far short of the color and depth of events of one's unique journey through life. However, to not make that attempt ensures moments will fade away, leaving life stories untold."|
====The movie, "It's a Wonderful Life," has a great scene where George Bailey, facing a crisis, wishes he had never been born. His wish is granted by his guardian angel, and he finds himself in a cemetery at the headstone of his brother, Harry. Clarence, his guardian, tells him, "Harry Bailey, broke through the ice and died at the age of nine." George says, "That's a lie! Harry Bailey went to war, got the Congressional Medal of Honor, and saved the lives of every man on that transport." But Clarence replies, "Every man on that transport died. Harry wasn't there to save them because you weren't there to save Harry. Strange, isn't it? Each life touches so many other lives."
====To those we have lost, We miss you!:
We thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday and days before that too.
We think of you in silence, we often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories and pictures in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake, with which we'll never part.
God has you in His keeping, and we have you in our heart.

I didn't notice until I arrived home that the stone I took a picture of is Roger's wife.
Roger's stone has not been engraved yet.
When I return to the cemetery I will keep an eye out, and take a picture when the stone is ready.

Would you please transfer memorial #115969401 for
Ronald Neil Staples to me. He is the son of my brother. There are some mistakes on his mothers memorial and I would like to get this family record right.
Why put up a record for a cartoon character?? This website is used for real records not for fictional characters.

Cynthia Anne Pearson Mendenhall
There is no marker for her. Are you sure she is buried in this cemetery or were her ashes simply scattered on the Island?
|J Stieber||RE: Clara Stephen|
My wife posted the picture of both Clara and Bill's marker. When we go to Elmwood again we will get a close up of Clara. Thanks for the offer though.
Glad to help,

Thanks so much! I'm looking to get my group together soon so it hopefully will get done fast!
|Vanessa Pacheco||Elmwood Cemetery|
I noticed that you've requested a lot of photos at Elmwood and I wanted you to know of my intentions! I'm starting a project with the Adams County Genealogy Society to take pictures of all of the stones that aren't photographed. So if you make any more photo requests can you let me know so that I can take them off my list? Thanks so much Lynn!
